'Dude, you're getting a Dell guy' arrested last night on Marijuana charge

Benjamin Curtis, the 22-year old actor who portrays the Dell Guy in those bothersome computer commercials, was arrested late last night (2/9) on a marijuana possession charge, The Smoking Gun has learned. According to cops, Curtis was holding a "small bag of marijuana" when he was popped on Manhattan's Lower East Side (at Ludlow and Rivington for you Gothamites). Curtis is currently being held in Central Booking and is scheduled to be arraigned later today in Manhattan Criminal Court. Curtis, who lives in lower Manhattan, was charged with criminal possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor. Bonnie Shumofsky, the actor's agent, said she was unaware of her client's bust when contacted this morning by TSG. (1 page)

It hasn't been all that long, for those with any sense of historical time frames.

It is worthwhile for self-proclaimed "conservatives" to consider the fact that in 1919, Congress and the nation thought it necessary to pass a Constitutional Amendment to ban alcoholic beverages. Most of the drug laws didn't come around until the late-30's, 40's, and 50's, and all the sudden, need for a Constitutional Amendment was not needed.

"babaloo999 spells like a stoner---get his cell ready!"

I hope they have a special prison for freepers,(with internet access) otherwise that policy will wipe out this forum!

He was being phased out of those commercials anyway. They're focusing on other kids, he was down to a five second spot at the end of the "Interns" commercial.

I remember her.

She became kind of a cult icon, as I recall... there were fan sites and everything. Sheesh!

Why are you basing your argument, that you want more addictions,

That is not my argument.

on the foundation of removing addictions from society by banning alcohol ?

I was pointing out the logical consequences of YOUR argument; that's why I said, "THEN [i.e., it follows from what you say that] we should ban alcohol".

What I find bafling is Why are you basing your argument, that you want more addictions

You appear to base your argument on a premise that by decriminalizing this bad vegatable there will be an increase in pot addiction? If I read you correctly, what is the current rate of pot addiction? And because pot is easy to obtain why would any legal status change affect usage?

I remember that... there was also one with a girl fumbling with a laptop, complaining she couldn't get her PC working, or installed. She looked pretty much the same way.

Ohhh, click on the link to the article at the top of the page (the smoking gun site), then go below the "Dude" article and see the link for "Jacko, the original child abuse allegations". The four-page affidavit from the Michael Jackson 1993 molestation case is posted.

What a little dumb-a**. I wonder if it ever occurred to him that his marketability as a spokesman may slip a little if he got caught.

He'll probably get off easier than he if he'd got caught smoking tobacco in a New York City Restaurant.
