Benjamin Curtis, the 22-year old actor who portrays the Dell Guy in those bothersome computer commercials, was arrested late last night (2/9) on a marijuana possession charge, The Smoking Gun has learned. According to cops, Curtis was holding a "small bag of marijuana" when he was popped on Manhattan's Lower East Side (at Ludlow and Rivington for you Gothamites). Curtis is currently being held in Central Booking and is scheduled to be arraigned later today in Manhattan Criminal Court. Curtis, who lives in lower Manhattan, was charged with criminal possession of marijuana, a misdemeanor. Bonnie Shumofsky, the actor's agent, said she was unaware of her client's bust when contacted this morning by TSG. (1 page)

They have a much better shot, since shoplifting has a victim that is motivated to avoid or resist the crime and assist in apprehending the criminal, none of which is true of a drug deal or drug use.
First of all, dope does not cure cancer.

If I ever saw one of these threads that didn't come down to "lets do dope" I would be more inclined to believe them.

You potentially could harm someone. An example would be if your chute didn't open and you rammed someone on the ground, killing both yourself and the person you rammed.

Oh wait, you're just trying to press YOUR morals on people, regarding your opinion of the negative impact of marijuana smoking!!! My fault...I guess when it comes down to the choice of what people are allowed to do with their bodies, it has to be along YOUR moral guidelines.
Maybe if the Republicans did more to adhere to conservative values and preserving the rule of law and limits on the federal government as written in the US Constitution, rather than bashing Libertarians, they'd be able to earn those votes.

People pick their issues for lots of reasons. Your assertion that people who oppose the WOD are merely users is incorrect.

Some may not be users, some may be dealers.
People only get stirred up about what they want.
There are plenty of drugs that are developed and distributed without having the ability to do dope.
That question is just silly.
That's the difference between you and me. I believe people should be able to do with their bodies as they choose. I choose NOT to imbibe such substances, but I feel that other people should be able to do so.
Why make alcohol legal but not marijuana? Why cigarettes? The alcohol/cigarettes combo is more deadly than a pothead. A drunk suffering nicotine withdrawl is more dangerous than a pothead wanting a joint from my experience. Toss in the tens of thousands of people killed by drunken murderers on the roads each year.
Why not outlaw alcohol? Oh wait...that was tried...and the overwhelming demand drove it underground, created a society of violence surrounding it and drove prices high on the black market. Hmmm...seems kind of familiar doesn't it?
Why not outlaw fast foods? It's dreadful for you, clogs the arteries and leads to heart disease. Why not outlaw beef consumption? It's bad for you too!
But then again your reasoning always comes down to one thing, "Let's be close minded and tell everyone else what to do."
