Not only does France not want to defend itself, it wants its "allies" to be defenseless also. How can someone be so stupid to equate defenseless with peace when dealing with someone like Iraq?!

I echo that sentiment. Been trying to compose a post that expresses my feeling without using numerous four-letter words. I can't do it.

It was unclear if Germany, which had previously backed French and Belgian hesitation had also supported the latest the delay of the planning to send surveillance planes, anti-missile batteries and units specialized in dealing with germ warfare and poison gas attacks to Turkey.

The war party in Washington Er, lets see -- that would be the Democrats, no??
World War I -- under Wilson, Democrat
World War II -- under Roosvelt, Democrat
Korean War -- under Truman, Democrat
Vietnam -- under Kennedy/Johnson, Democrat
Somalia -- under Klintoon, Democrat
Kosovo/Bosnia -- under Klintoon, Democrat
You are basing calling the Republican the War Party
because of them trying to oust your hero and protector of the World Socialist vanguard Saddam?

What gall! Now they're trying to make Turkey surrender before the battle. I am SO tired of their self-important delusions of grandeur. Hey, France...you're irrelevant! Go home!

Nice zing, chile. ;-)
I'm so sick of this crud that I believe I may just have to shut down the screens...turn off the computers...shut down the cell phone...pull the landlines out...and watch "Gilligan's Island" on tape all day.

Great New York Post article posted on FR called How Dare the French Forget. Contained in the article are the names of just a few of the 10,000 American soldiers who died on French soil defending their sorry butts. We need to be able to do something to hurt them for this - $$ talks.

Perhaps the little weenies wish they were speaking German all these years. I so wish a few of our WWII soldiers were in a position to organize and make a big spash at a press conference reminding the world of our contribution to the saving of all of Europe.

Know what you mean about turning it all off. It's good to take an occasional break as many of these events are beyond our control anyway. But, I always get pulled back in by FR...
