Unbelievable !!! I've come pretty close to calling for their collective heads --Gillen's included. Too bad these guys can't beat the creampuffs, too, as we might have a season on our hands...Did Mapp play tonight?

I've done more than come close to calling for Gillen's head, I've called for the those who hired him and gave him that fat contract. OK, he's on probation now - sweet 16 and all is forgiven. Note-Absence of KJ, UVa Wins-Go Hoos!

GREAT win tonight. When they play team ball, they win. When Gillen lets them get away with that playground stuff, they stink.

I hope they just kick that kid out altogether. He's a mediocre player, and a punk. we don't need him.
Do you ever get the feeling gillen's team doesn't respect him?

I know a young C'ville black guy that hangs around alot with the team. He has told me KJ is so much of an obnoxious thug that none of the black girls will even speak to him at social occasions. I think he has also been distraction and leads other players in the wrong direction. I don't think we will see him dressed in orange and blue again.

Awesome win...can't believe I slept right thru it...LOL!!

"Bush Call UN's Bluff!!"

"Saddam Hussein has been playing the UN for a fool for 12 years. He'll do so for another 12, if it lets him. He has just ordered his field commanders to prepare to use chemical weapons in the event of war. "The very weapons," Bush noted ironically, "the dictator tells the world he does not have." Bush also recounted the stark links between Saddam and global terrorism, even while the State Department was issuing a worldwide warning to Americans of an increased danger of chemical or biological terrorist attacks. The dots connect. Saddam believes he can buy time by dribbling out small concessions day by day. Yesterday, he coughed up one scientist for UN arms inspectors to interview. One, out of thousands in his employ. He says he may now allow overflights of U-2 spy planes to check on Iraqi facilities (that is, until the heat is off, whereupon he will likely shoot them down). The world mustn't be tricked. It's all a Saddam sideshow just to stop the clock."

Awesome...give US the UN Security Council blessing or display to the World the Franco-Germanic powerlessness to effect World Events as America Liberates Iraq despite them!!

Way to go, Dubyuh...when you got the good hand, raise the stakes, then PLAY IT!!

UN SUCKS...MUD

BTW..."Gestures are cheap. His only option is immediate, complete and unconditional disarmament. But as Bush and Powell have proved to a mathematical certitude, Saddam has not disarmed and he has no intention of disarming - ever. In fact, he is rearming. Nations like France and Germany might not want to face up to these verities. But, as Bush said, "The game is over. Saddam Hussein will be stopped." The President is willing to seek a new resolution to underscore the Security Council's resolve. He'd like to have - and he deserves - the UN's support, but he's prepared to go it alone.

Yer NOT Alone, President Bush, Patriotic Americans stand behind you 100%...MUD

Kentucky's got the horses to go somewhere in the Tourney...it's gonna be a good NCAA, IMHO, but I'm not sure who can win it. Seems nobody wants to stay Number One...MUD

SHEEEEESH...take that sorta negativity back to Sabre.com, recruits ain't expendable, IMHO. KJ's had a lot force-fed him in a short period of time...when he was recruited, he figgered to be playing backup point fer AT LEAST two years and now we're harshing on him fer not scoring enuff points when he's got an assist-to-TO ratio of almost 2:1. Sure, his shenanigans last week--and Harper's back in December--are detrimental to the team and Gillen's been quick and harsh on the punishment, but I'm not ready to call Jenifer a bad bet. Heck, if Mapp and Billet are both healthy next season, red-shirt Keith and let him put some meat on those bones...he's 6-2, 170!! With his quickness and a bit more strength and maturity, he could be a quality point in 2004-2006, IMHO.

FReegards...MudboyHOO?!!

"KJ is so much of an obnoxious thug"

Sorry to hear that, but he's also still a immature teenager. They usedta say the same thing about Othell Wilson when I was in school, but by his senior year, I loved the dude's heart. I suspect Jenifer's got a big heart, too, although this angry young Lib'ral krap has got to end!!

Good to see Majestic gettin' some quality PT (11 pts in 19 minutes)...that guy's just a born leader...MUD

I definitely thought this was the problem the past two years. None of the "playground heroes" are gonna listen to a little red-headed man that talks funny. Bringing Billet in this year has helped to put at least a little bit of team play back into the program.

During timeouts, when Gillen is giving his own brand of "pep talk" they always look like they've been scolded by their mothers or given a detention by the hall monitor.
I actually get to see guys like Watson and Jennifer skulking around grounds quite a bit. Watson has a certain predatorial demeanor and makes alot of strange gestures to people (women) he doesn't know -- my fiance included. I don't think he's a stable boy.

Majestic was the great hope, and it's sad he's been sidelined for so long. He's got that aura of leadership.
I hate to be such a nattering nabob, but I've taken the Hoos' unwillingness to play hard all of the time very personally. I was born a hoo, watched em all my life, travelled to games since I was 3 (from NY, mind you), and feel that the current crop of b-ballers has less spark than the hapless but spirited team of 3 and 4 years ago. Upset wins are meaningless when you can't beat the Hokies et al.. And not being able to win on the road...
