***Iraq Committing Suicide On TV Now***
Fox News

So, we're all led to believe that Colin Powell is the only dove in the administration, (which I do not belive, any man that can say: "..we're going to cut it off and kill it..." is no dove) and now Iraq has their boy on TV calling him a liar and a cheat.
The same clymer is disputing what Sec. Powell said Hans Blix said.
My guess is that Sec. Powell AND Hans baby are going to have some comments that will apprise Iraq of how short a period of time they have left.
My guess is Saddam is not going to see March.

Colin Powell may be a dove until the war starts..hehe...but don't piss him off. During the war he can seriously make you wish you hadn't angered him.

any man that can say: "..we're going to cut it off and kill it..." is no doveIndeed. It's like people have no memory. They wake up every morning a blank slate. The old rope-a-dope routine gets them every time.

Officers on the battlefield restrain the dogs of war and at the same time can release them to kill people and blow things up.
Saddam will find out just how good Rummy and the General are soon.

Powell said it.
Norman did it.

Powell a dove? Maybe, but a military one. At least we know the "dove" side was aired at strategy meetings...it just lost.

FOX News cut away before the guy was finished...reporter sounded disgusted (don't know who, Iwas painting the wall and just listening in)-- and said "so Iraq's position is..."Colin Powell is a liar, Pres. Bush is a liar, the presentation yesterday was false, the United States is a liar and they are attacking us for oil" -- Sounds like they got their talking points from the Washington "peace"-marchers (ANSWER)
Side note -- Helen Thomas (who makes me want to scream every time I hear her) has just reiterated every single point the Iraquis made and basically accused Pres. Bush of being a liar who wants to "steal" Iraqi oil -- WHY is she there ?? WHY ????

Colin Powell is the classic "reluctant warrior." He looked at other possibilities and basically concluded: "This is the only way. Let's roll." I pity Iraq.

The old rope-a-dope routine gets them every time. I like the guys who keep saying that Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Karen Hughes, Carl Rove must be some kind of evil genius, because they can't believe they just got their butts kicked by that idiotic GWB again!
You gotta let reality intrude eventually guys!

They wake up every morning a blank slate.
One of my friends calls that "Duck in a New World" syndrome. We used to work with people like this - we'd call them asking them the status of what they were supposed do from the day before, and they'd say they had no idea what we were talking about.

Colin Powell is not an Agamemmnon. He is rather more like Robert E. Lee. He will choose his time and place and with efficient and effective use of both minimize casualties and deal death to the enemy. No truely honorable soldier who has seen war wants to unnecessarily put their troops in harm's way . I could think of hundreds of 'Generals' that I would rather desert from than be used as cannon fodder. Powell's greatness lies perhaps in his statesmanship rather than his generalship. Time will tell but, all things considered he was a pretty good one to serve under.

France, Germany and Western Lefties may have convinced Saddam he can face down Bush and Blair. In a way, we may have them to thank for Iraq telling Blix to go fish, which will cause him to give us the green light.
