reading DU posts often makes me do some soul-searching -- I find myself wonderinbg what I would have been writing here if Gore was our President -- would I have been making snide/sarcastic remarks about his "wooden" face or his "forced" emotions ?? Maybe -- I hope that I would not behave in such a shallow way, but I do wonder...A few people would, certainly. And they would be instantly torn to shreds by the other 99% of Freepers, suspended and/or banned, or both.

And moreso recently than ever. I used to find them amusing. Now I just find them disgusting. They are poisoned with bitterness, I believe.

The South Park Republican signed up 2003-01-07 Grab a clue instead of another beer would you.
I'm sorry, I forgot to contact you before I changed my user name. If I had known I was suposed to ask for your permission, I would have done so.
But while we're on the subject...I respect you so much because you have an earlier sign-up date than some other people. Please tell me...When does someone become as cool as you? After how long? And what is your secret to being so much better than most? It surely can't be JUST the sign-up date???
Eletist jerk.

>>And isn't the target landing spot some place in California? But they were reentering over Texas? <<
You might be thinking of Edwards Air Force base in the desert outside of Los Angeles....
Usually, they land in Orlando -- Texas is a little beyond where they enter the atmosphere -- West to East pathway (look at the radar of the debris field).
Hope that helps.
God bless the astronauts' families -- the crew don't need our prayers anymore since they are with God.

You should do a little research before making such a fool of yourself.
Admin Moderator specifically said it's OK to post DUhhh threads here.
Now...Go find another hallway to monitor. But be sure to take your blindfold so you can do as good of a job!
To: OReilly
Try this, select 50, that's what mine is set on, and the only threads I have trouble loading are those huge graphic ones. I had it set at 250, what a pain that was.

I've been trying to drop it ALL DAY!
I defy anyone (Including you) to find where I have instigated any of this nonsense...
Sorry Pappy...Gotta defend my position. Not gonna be branded something I am not.

I bet they were doing a little intelligence gathering up there.I have to wonder how likely that is. I would think that intelligence gathering could be done much more efficiently with unmanned devices controlled from the ground.

Oh. I just didn't know that the shuttle was a social program.
To: The South Park Republican
Understood, but couldn't we stick to the subject? It's a rather serious one.

"It's just weird and eerie" Sometimes things are just like that. I think it helps keep us humble, realizing that there is so much that we do not understand. The more I know, the more I realize how very little I know.

Yeah, Max. We heard it here. It was in it's final approach for landing.
God rest their souls.

I can't imagine cheering the death of an innocent no matter what religon. I couldn't come up with an excuse good enough to explain that away at The Pearly Gates.Well, I recall witnessing a few Americans cheering when that earthquake in Iran killed 50,000 back in 1990. It's not just a Muslim sickness.
