O.J. Simpson's teenage daughter placed a tearful 911 call after a quarrel with her famous father this month -- complaining about her father's attitude and asking if it constituted abuse, said Miami-Dade police. Sydney Simpson, 17, phoned police from the Kendall home she shares with her father and 14-year-old brother at 11:30 a.m. Jan. 18, according to the one-page incident report. In the brief and often unintelligible 911 call, Sydney, 17, an honor student at Gulliver Prep in Coral Gables, sobbed while describing her father as an unloving ''a------''. She said she no longer wanted to live with him. She later said her father told her ``none of his kids make him miserable except for me.'' She asked the dispatcher if ``that's not, like, an abuse thing?'' She did not ask for police help, said Miami-Dade police. But when the call abruptly ended, police -- following department policy regarding interrupted emergency calls -- sent officers to the Simpson home. According to the incident report, police found Sydney in her bedroom ``upset.'' The teen told officers that she and Simpson ``got into an argument over family issues.'' After she calmed down, Sydney ''agreed to leave the residence to defuse the situation'' and return later, said the report. NO VIOLENCE Police did not report any signs of violence and no charges were filed. It was unclear in the report if Simpson was inside the home. Simpson attorney Yale L. Galanter told The Associated Press on Wednesday that his client was listed on the report only because he is the homeowner -- not because he was present. ''There is nothing that occurred. What I do know was Mr. Simpson wasn't there,'' he said. Sydney and her younger brother, Justin, are Simpson's children with his slain ex-wife, Nicole Brown Simpson. Simpson was acquitted of the murders of his ex-wife and friend Ronald Goldman in 1994, but a civil jury found him liable and ordered he pay a $33.5 settlement to the victims' survivors. OTHER INCIDENTS He continued to make headlines after moving to Miami-Dade, successfully beating a road-rage rap in October of 2001. Two months later, he was again at the center of controversy when federal agents served a search warrant at his Kendall home looking for evidence relating to an alleged drug ring, money laundering and stolen satellite equipment. The former NFL superstar was not charged with any crime. In November, he once again made courthouse chatter: Simpson paid a $130 fine for speeding through a manatee zone in a powerboat.
Simpson's daughter calls 911 to complain about him

Uh ... Sydney is 17 and Al Cowlings Simpson Brown Jr. is 14. There are not many options at hand, considering their Mom was killed when they were 9 and 5 years old respectively.
Dad's had four "Auntie Bambis", three "Auntie Heathers", three "Auntie Carmens" two "Auntie Tamaras" and numerous other Aunties during this time. These children are messed up royally.
I agree. She evidently likes the money that pays her private school tuition OR she can move out.
Yeah, those 17 year old girls who confront pubery, sexual blossoming and emergence into young womanhood absent their murdered mother - and forced to live with a father who is the accepted murderer - are so damn calculating and coddled. Move out ... yeah, that's what a 17 year old woman of principle in Miami would do. Those Haitian wraiths seem to like her ...
Check out the mind game: OJ told her "none of my children make me miserable but you".
What a thing to say to a daughter who has endured a teenage life where EVERYONE she meets knows she's the live-in daughter of a father who killed her mother. That IS child abuse.
And SHE'S the one making HIS life miserable.
He deserves a very cruel epilogue.
The kids live in Miami! The Juice was partying in Palm Desert! Whores of both genders were fighting for kneepad tribute to the guy. A reputed killer, the buzz do say.
I was at the wedding and I asked a guy named Pat why they didn't just beat the snot out of the butcher. They would have killed him, that's their skill level and that was their hate setting. No black LA jury to be-bop, scat and hip-hop the verdict, however, so the animus was just a seethe. The staff read their mood. So, the bar manager was a superpro, he gave them an honest tradeoff and they had a blast all night. But ... O.J. was in Palm Springs, not Miami. And he escaped a mauling. Missed it by "this much".
Two points for you to consider, Grumpygirl. First, get back on your Zoloft. Second, the two gentlemen you have decided to attack are made members of the FR wolfpack, the inner circle, the sanctum sanctorum. That is to say, gentlemen of respect. So, when you pick on them for no reason, the presumption is that you are a wacko.
Murdering her mother might have created a strain.
Limo Driver: " No, Nothing unusual. He had the Driver, 3 wood, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 irons, putter, the Sand and Pitching wedges and a blood stained, serrated Navy Seal assault knife in the bag. Regulation 13."
Apparently, OJ assiduously collected all the lob wedge struck balls from around his yard while his limo was outside the gate. That's what a cost-conscious guy like OJ would do when he's late for the last flight to Chicago of the night. Cuz there were no balls in the yard when authorities arrived.
Instead of asking him to put on the glove, Marcia (do me) Clark and Chris (this is gonna be bad outcome) Darden should have made O.J. demonstrate his green side wedge prowess. "If he holes this chip, you must acquit."
The girl is now 17. I wonder if, on occassion, when she looks at her father in situations of conflict, she sees an angry, violent man who is well capable of taking a knife to someone?
BTW has anyone heard the updates? Apparently there is some question about the caller actually being "female". I just heard that on Fox. They played the tape and it sounded like it could have been a man imitating a woman.
Since I work with sound I tried to mentally compare it with the original recording I heard at work this morning. It is tough without having the two side by side but if I had to make a call I would say it WAS a young, distraught woman and the tape had been slowed down in playback.
Nothing sinister there, it happens all the time when using (cheap) tape machines, especially from 911 calls.
If the tape hasn't been distorted then it could be an imposter.
