Nice to know they were paying attention. But why, why, why does the government fund this organization?!?

In an act of deliberate deception, President Bush promised to ''protect infants at the very hour of their birth'' by passing an abortion procedures ban already deemed unconstitutional. Further, he challenged Congress to end all human cloning, even therapeutic cloning that would advance the treatment and prevention of debilitating and often fatal illnesses.

Who's deception? First of all, PBA is not "abortion" because the baby is already out of his mother. It is infanticide. Second, PP is claiming scientific miracles on the issue of "therapeutc cloning" that do not exist. Scientists who need research money are selling the hope for a miracle cure all. Talk about deception!

The part that always bothers me is that they start out with the assumption that he does not really mean what he says but rather has some hidden agenda that is very clear only to them.

"But beneath the rhetoric, the president hinted at his real agenda, which aims to eliminate access to reproductive health care and to abridge women's fundamental civil rights."

How would they know this from what was said??

And he acknowledged the pain and destruction caused by the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Africa without any mention of his own administration's callous attacks on condom use and medically accurate sex education, which help prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS.

A recent large study has shown that only abstinence programs have been effective in preventing AIDS in Africa.

I see Planned Murderhood hasn't been shamed into silence yet.

It would be nice if they got at least one fact straight.

I wonder why (or if) Planned Parenthood hasn't tried to expand "a woman's basic human and constitutional right to reproductive freedom" beyond birth? I mean, many kids are so demanding and unrelenting and limit a woman's career path. Shouldn't they, by the same logic, be entitled to kill unwanted children as long as they are dependent minors? If an unwanted pregnancy is merely a "choice" at 8 months, what about at 2 years? 8 years?

I know this is a ridiculous argument but no more so than their "basic constitutional right" argument.

That's right! I believe Uganda has been very successful in AIDS education and the numbers are way lower than anywhere else in Africa. Abstinence and common sense work.

Women deserve more than platitudes about freedom; we deserve and demand the president's full support of our most basic human and civil rights...most importantly the right to kill our unborn children.

Liberals are omniscient...hell, everyone knows that. Unless it serves their purposes to be as dumb as a fence post. I wonder if they've ever figured out what "IS" is? I wonder if Hitlery every explained it to Pee Wee?

Libbers are nothing but immoral attack dogs. They never have a positive agenda of their own so the only way they can retain their minority constituency is by demonizing us conservatives and our agendas.

During his ''State of the Union'' address, President Bush sounded like a champion of freedom.

Ah Ha – at least he’s got the “sound” right…that’s a start.

But beneath the rhetoric, the president hinted at his real agenda…

Real agenda? Does Planned Parenthood have a mole in the White House? How did they learn of the “real” agenda?

…which aims to eliminate access to reproductive health care…

Reproductive, by definition would mean giving birth – there is and will probably always be access to reproductive health care. The Reproductive Process Abortion (airplanes abort take offs and landings, aborting is to terminate an operation or procedure before completion) crowd has been clouding the language so as to keep people’s minds off of the real issue. The real issued is not Abortion per se, it’s not Choice per se and it is absolutely not about “reproductive health.” Euphemism is a very useful tool for LIARS.

…and to abridge women's fundamental civil rights.

If it is women’s “fundamental civil right” to kill a baby, then, per the Fourteenth Amendment to the Constitution (…nor deny any person…equal protection of the laws.), it is also a man’s “fundamental civil right” to kill a baby.

In an act of deliberate deception President Bush promised to ''protect infants at the very hour of their birth''...

How would preventing the death of a child be a deception?

…by passing an abortion procedures ban already deemed unconstitutional.

Exactly who has deemed banning this particular procedure unconstitutional?

Further, he challenged Congress to end all human cloning even therapeutic cloning that would advance the treatment and prevention of debilitating and often fatal illnesses.

Has any cloning been proved to advance treatment or prevention of anything, except perhaps heterosexual intercourse?

And he acknowledged the pain and destruction caused by the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Africa…

Finally something we can agree on!

…without any mention of his own administration's callous attacks on condom use…

Oops, I spoke too soon, who in this administration has callously attacked condom use?

…and medically accurate sex education, which help prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS.

What’s this “medically accurate” business? Who\when in this administration has callously attacked “medical accuracy?” Or are we really talking about pornography and/or perversion training for our kids?

Women deserve more than platitudes about freedom…

Do women deserve more than men? Where did this “deserve” business come from…let me guess…the Clintons? The first synonym for “deserve” is “earn.”

…we deserve…

There you go again.

…and demand…

Oh oh, now you have me shaking in my boots.

…the president's full support of our most basic human and civil rights.

How about listing your “most basic human and civil rights” in order of “most basic?” And by whom were you endowed of these rights?

Instead of stripping women of our reproductive freedom…

Partial birth murder is “reproductive freedom”? This is obscene.

…President Bush and Congress should fully fund and support family planning and medically accurate sex education.

Now they call it “family planning.” Let’s see, a woman is going about her life, and she thinks…"I have a plan! I’m going to have sex during my period of fertility, get pregnant, carry the child almost to birth; then just as the child is completely out into the world (with the exception of her head), I’ll have my doctor stab her in the base of her skull and vacuum out her brain so that her skull collapses, then she (my doctor) will take her (my child's) dead little body away and dispose of her remains.

Now this is a plan that only a truly evil being might devise.

Did you see the South Park episode where Cartmans mother is trying to get an abortion? The doctor said, "I don't think we can abort an 8 year old. We can't perform abortions after the 2nd trimester...this would be a 40th trimester abortion". She said, "My body, may choice".
