Those in the know are not counting former Vice President Al Gore out.

Al Gore is not out of politcs.

Folks who are close to him say that his opting out of the 2004 Presidential Campaign does not mean he would refuse the nomination.

About to sweat for it he wouldn't.

Just letting you in on what I know.

A clue of a wisp of an indication of an answer of how much coverage MetWest Executive Gore will get as he pops up across America with some regularity: A man described as 'Salons returning national correspondant' chatted up Mr. Gore at the Grappa Italian Cafe in Park City, Utah last week, and practically folled him into the men's room.

Hillary leads the field by 25 points, it would mae sense for her to step forward at the convention.

Didn't the Dems have a pretty nasty convention in 1980 when Teddy Kennedy tried to usurp Jimmy Carter? I seem to remember that convention being a bit unruly.

I do think there is a high probability that the Dems will go through the primaries without a clear winner emerging.

My guess is that Gephardt will take Iowa and many midwestern states, Kerry will probably get New England although Dean may pull some from him, Dean could do well in the West where the far left has a real stronghold in the democratic party. As for the Southern states, I don't see Edwards really gaining traction there so perhaps those states get split up too. The primaries are really front loaded and if they all stay in, then they could easily be split up among the many candidates.

In any event, it's going to be very fun to watch. I'm loving Al Sharpton and Dean is giving Kerry and Edwards grief about their vote for the Iraq resolution. I just love it when they eat their own.

On another note...I think the GOP is pretty united at this point. At least here in Washington State it seems the party is finally realizing that it doesn't do us any good to fight amongst ourselves. We are aggressively recruiting candidates for Senate and Governor and hope to have a SINGLE candidate up and running by July 1 of this year. If we can avoid the nasty primary battles we've had of late, we can win.

Reagan came amazingly close to unseating a sitting President, which is as Peggy Noonan put it, "a very un-Republican thing to do."

At least Reagan was playing "boot the RINO."

If GW is still running strong, she will let someone else get shredded.

If his poll numbers are really down, she will manuever a draft the Hilldebea$t behind doors.

The NY Slimes, DC Compost, LA Slimes and of course ABCNNBCBS will be beating the drums for her being drafted.

She can't stand a primary with people and a few reporters coming after her. Also, she knows that conservatives would rip her a new one based on her past and everytime she opened her mouth.

Since she can't automatically become Queen, she will manuever a draft for her if Carvile feels the timing is right.

Hillary's chances will be better next time, unless something weird happens between now and election day.

Well, his numbers are not very good in his OWN state. He's got less than 50% thinking he should be re-elected for his Senate seat. The numbers are even worse for his run for the Presidency.

But then, what do I know? It's hard for me to understand the democrats. LOL!
