I like listening and watching Sean's shows. I just wish he'd let his guests finish their point before he cuts them off(especially if they're on "our side" and it looks like they have something REALLY interesting to say. Sometimes I get the impression he's not listening to the guest's answers, just thinking about the next question he plans to ask.

Just constructive criticism Sean, in case you're reading this thread. You know most Freepers love you. Heck, I kinda like Alan too. Egad...I can't believe I said that :-)

This coming from a guy who agrees with Dick Gephardt on the Confederate battle flag. I think Sean was right. We all know Sean Hannity is a conservative. I don't think the same could be said of you.

Now I did not see the attack but I note that it is possible to disagree with people on issues without being disagreeable.

I don't think he is referring to a single incident attack. No. I don't think so.

Sean did something the other day that was very revealing about how Sean thinks. What did he do?

He brought on John McCain to his show, and RESPECTFULLY asked him why he opposed the President's tax plan.

It showed that Sean was not happy with McCain, but that he was very open, honest, and curious to hear a response from the horse's mouth. He did not flame war McCain on the air, or call him names.

Sean doesn't seem to want to hear a bunch of jive ass rhetoric.

If you mention the name McCain here on FR, you will get a list of people calling him all kinds of names from McLame, to Democrat, to RINO, etc etc.

Sean though cut the BS and asked the guy the question and listened to a response, where McCain actually said 'I only disagree with certain provisions of the plan, not the whole plan'...

At least though in Sean's mind, McCain had the opportunity to defend himself above and without all of the flame war name calling.

It doesn't mean Sean agreed with McCain, but he didn't lambast the guy over it.

I think it is the 300 degrees past Regan loudmouth, holier and more conservative than you all, I-AM the definition of conservative people that are a turn off.

I thought this was a conservative forum, maybe I'm mistaken.

Rush and Hannity have taken too damned many hits here. All they do, each and every day, is take to the airwaves and champion the very ideas that make this country great. They are the warriors confronting the dark forces who are bringing this country's values to it's knees. Yet here in this forum, for all that they have done for the conservative cause, I find a hint of contempt/jealousy/envy/dislike within the ranks.

I'm sick and tired of many here saying, "oh I love so and so, though I don't agree with everything they say." It's as if they have to throw in that little caveat - though I don't agree with everything they think or say - as an afterthought to protect their ego, God forbid anyone percieve them as a "compromised" free thinker. Yet what is it that you disagree with? What element/idea of conservativism upsets you so? Go ahead and state if for the entire forum to see and appreciate. Conservatism isn't about compromise, never has been. It is about the nature of preserving our forefather's founding ideas.

There is plenty of room in the libertarian party for those of you who hate the liberals but can quite agree with all conservative principals. Unadulterated conservatism does not compromise.

Many here had better wake and smell the stink that is destroying this culture of this once great country. Many here need re-think what it is to be a conservative. Do you know where years and years of compromise and slight "here and there" disagreement with conservative principals have gotten us? It has insidiously morphed itself into full fledged "liberalism."

Some of you here are like some of the RINO's in the Senate.

Rush has it right about it you "moderates" or middle of the roaders. Whoops, there I go agreeing with everything Rush says. Hope I didn't offend anyone.

Do you really think in the grand scheme of things it would really matter if these RINO's switched parties. It might in the short term, I will concede that point. I understand what you are implying though, that we forge ahead now that we have the senate, house, and the Oval office. But it just ain't happening.

I for one and damned sick and tired of compromise by individuals, politicians and even by this current administration. All we ever seem to do is compromise our principals and give ground. We gain and inch and then we give back two, etc, etc. And then we find ourselves in the belly of the monster and wonder how the hell we got there. I'm tired of it.

There's plenty of libs we can rip. Let's leave our own alone and let them do their jobs. I tend to believe it'd get us a lot more positive media coverage if we stop bickering amongst ourselves. Besides, it's bad manners. JMHO
