WFB was, in his heyday, an important voice in the wildreness...Imo about the only audible voice in the wildeness for years - still a classic is his reply to the question of why he thought RFK refused to appear on his program Firingline: "Why does the baloney reject the grinder?".....

Yeah, "audible" might fit. We owe him a lot, even as we owe Rush a lot (I won't put in the caveat, "I disagree with them some"--there are posters here who don't like that). But, still, James Burnham, especially in the NR Bulletin (better than NR IMO), Ralph DeToladano, and others fought the good fight. I even loved D. Keith Mano.
