*** OFFICIAL KENTUCKY FREEPER MEET REMINDER***
Everyone, our next Freeper Meeting (as was planned two months ago) will be Thursday evening, January 23rd, THIS THURSDAY NIGHT, YES, THIS THURSDAY NIGHT at Don Pablo's, 615 S. Hurstbourne Parkway, Louisville, Kentucky. We will have a spot for you at 6pm. Come when you can. All are welcome. We'd like to meet some new conservative friends. We meet in the patio room, which is smoker-friendly.
Click here for map and/or directions.
I have on good word that candidate for governor, State Senator Virgil Moore , and his running mate (and Freeper) Don Bell plan to attend. We will have lots of fun at this meet and social gathering, and lots to talk about, including wars, rumors of wars, leftist protests, Freeper counterprotests, Congress, State Legislature, Metro Council, and the Governor's Race. (Heck, we can even discuss my Oakland Raiders and the Super Bowl, if you'd like!) See you there!

I went to the DC Patriots Rally. I'm not a good story-teller. You have to be there to feel the excitement.
Oh, and I said hey to DC Police Chief Ramsey when I was on 8th and I. I thought I read a few months ago that he was retiring in January. So, when I thanked him for his service and wished him well in his future, he said he ain't going anywhere. The cops surrounding me yukked it up, and I hope Chief Ramsey didn't take it as an insult.

yes, don and i both will be there.

Senator to throw hat into race for Governor
By George Baumler
Kentucky State Senator Virgil Moore and running mate Don Bell have quietly been gathering grassroots support in their quest for the Republican nomination in this spring's upcoming primary. Senator Moore and Don Bell made a late appearance at the inaugural meeting of "Take Back Louisville", an offshoot of the successful Take Back Kentucky organization. Senator Moore, from Leitchfield, Kentucky, told those who remained after the Take Back Louisville meeting adjourned, about his vision for improving Kentucky's economy, and about the direction the current governor, Paul Patton, has taken the state. He spoke of the jobs lost to other surrounding states due to Kentucky's unfriendly business and tax climate. He also mentioned the unintended consequences that increasing the tax on cigarettes would have on the state's economy. Senator Moore's dedication was demonstrated when he delayed having an important medical procedure in 2002 in order to be in Frankfort to cast his vote in the Kentucky Senate in support of Senator Seum's bold legislation to end Jefferson County's abusive VET Program.
Moore's running mate, Don Bell, a veteran, former secret service, and FBI agent, was asked about his stand on constitutional issues such as second amendment rights. Mr. Bell answered by producing a pocket-sized copy of the Constitution and Declaration of Independence from his jacket pocket. He told everyone that his experiences with the federal government made him very much aware of the abuses of our constitutional rights and promised to protect them. Mr. Bell is from northern Kentucky and has run for a number of offices and claimed never to have lost a primary election. The Senator and Mr. Bell both have energy that one would not expect of men with their years of government service. Moore and Bell have not formally announced their candidacy as of yet. I thought my soap box days were over. But I see one standing over there with my name on it and it is filled with Pollution Credits.
I'll try to make it.
