My Grandfather fought in the battle of Tarawa

Wow... that was one heck of a battle. One my last deployment about 2 years ago, we stopped by the Tarawa atoll and had a ceremony honoring the brave men who fought in that battle. I even have a bottle of sand from the beach.

Sorry - I think I'm coming down with the 'crud' too. (I've been trying to blame it on recovering from a rough work week, but I don't think being tired makes your ears hurt!!

Hubby Dearest made the most delicious dinner tonight. I'm stuffed and tired, and need my beauty rest, so...I have to call it a night.

I'll pass on the trolley ride...SF is a bit cool for my blood this time of year (we were back in the '70's with sunshine today)...
