WUSA TV-9 did a follow-up interview with the DC Chapter of Free Republic with regard to our plans for further actions after countering the anti-war demonstrations in Washington, D.C. this weekend.
Kristinn, tgslTakoma, Mark Phelps, Angelwood, Jimmy Valentine's brother; Doctor Raoul; Buford P, Taxman and "JW" marched to the Navy Memorial with flags flying to meet with reporter, Dave Statter, and his cameraman for the interview.
After handshakes and introductions, Kristinn spoke with Dave Statter and showed him a copy of Peter Jennings' book, "In Search of America," which featured a two-page photograph of the D.C. Chapter countering some of these same IAC/ANSWER protesters during a demonstration at the Navy Memorial on September 29, 2001.
After a brief history of the Chapter, Kristinn stated our intentions to keep staging pro-America counterdemonstrations whenever the anti-war crowd comes to D.C. Then Mr. Statter told us that some of these groups are planning to come out every weekend. We told him about our 28 months of consecutive Saturday protests at the Clinton White House -- been there, done that.
This feature will probably be shown on the 11:00 p.m. News (that's what Dave told us); but it could be delayed because of the football playoff game on CBS, it could be shown tomorrow, or it could end up on the cutting room floor. Here's hoping.

WUSA-TV 9 just showed the coverage of the anti-war march to the White House today. They reported that two different groups, on the same side of the issue, unknowingly marched straight into each other's marches, screwing up all their plans--Straight out of
Life of Brian!
That explains why they never made it to 17th and Pennsylvania to do their "Weapons inspector" schtick.

Great work today. Sorry I couldn't be there. Saw the coverage on channel 9 tonight. Way to go - lots of coverage of Free Republic in the media in general - although they keep saying "pro-war". Looking forward to the anti-anti-anti-illegal immigration rally. Keep me posted.

Am working on a separate photo thread now. Will lead off with the pink ladies first. Stand by...

I took a sneak peak at the pictures and laughed about the pink ladies. The photos turned out great and you got plenty to show how safe and protected the HUMAN SHIELDS were standing in front of the White House. Great job!

Thank you so much for being there to show support for our troops. I'm sending a link to this site to my son's in the military. God knows that they need to see the support and know that you guys are out there.
To: Angelwood
Thank you all. I wish to be notified of the next counter protest demonstration.

We could have used some of the hot air expended this weekend. We had a great time although the feeling is now returning to my toes. At the Marine Barracks the Polices had asked us to observe the parade from across the street. The end result was that the protestors focused on us instead of the real objective.
See you sooner rather than later.

You got most of the names in the right place.
A = LisaFab
N = Ed (friend of LisaFab)
L,D = tgslTakoma
S and flag = Angelwood
Later, the line up changed as we got reinforcements. In total, there were 14 people in the Human Shields protest.
