The national/global attention provides the incentive for local collusive cheating. Take away that incentive and the locals become more self-regulating.

You obviusly don't follow the Little League World Series. It's not some kind of national team that represents the US. It's a grouping of all star players from any given local league in the US. This team won all their tournaments from local sectionals through state titles and regional titles in order to represent the US. It's the Great American Dream.

Corruption is not a problem.

I'll ignore your other post about kiddie porn. It's a moronic comparison with absolutely no merit.

You're the one who didn't want to "limit opportunities" for youngsters.
And I stated upfront that I knew I was using an extreme example to see where you would draw the line.
Can't you grasp the concept? Or do you simply not care for that specific example?
Okay, how about limiting children's opportunities to drive?
Or to get legally married?
Or to drink alcohol?
Basicly, the same principles apply.
Should it be 18-years-old? 14-years-old? 10-years-old? No minimum???

Where do you draw the line?
I already stated where I would.
And I don't see where it "limits" childrens opportunities...
It only postpones them to a more appropriate level of maturity.
