Sen. Robert C. Byrd (D-W. Va) criticized President Bush yesterday for giving the United States the image "of a belligerent bully,"...

That's "High Tech Bully" to you Mr. Grand Klegle.

So other than promoting a Democratic Socialist adversarial position to a Republican President, exactly what possible strategy can Byrd proffer to strengthen US position, defend our interests, and increase risk to foreign enemy interests?

I see none.

I see 8 yrs of Democratic Socialism advocated by the likes of Byrd which helped cause this fine mess in the first place. Although entitled to spak as an Honorable Senator, he verges on seditious and treasonous approach,...at least by past Clintonista standards.

Sen. Robert C. Byrd (D-Green Valley Rest Home) acts like a dottering old fool.

Thirty years ago, when I worked for the C & P Telephone Company in D. C., Senator Byrd's reputation among phone company installers and repairmen was that he was the least intelligent member of the Senate. Literally bone dumb. He has learned a lot about how the Senate operates, and maybe a lot about Roman history and his dog, but about common sense things, he's apparently dumber than a rock. Or at least he was 30 years ago.

Dear Byrd,

Perhaps someone needs to point out to you exactly what the function of the Federal Government is. According to that document called the Constitution, the Federal Government's primary role is to protect the citizens living within the country. You do remember who the citizens are, dont you ? We are the people who give our hard earned wages to the Federal Government. These wages turn into all that paper money that you get to spend on your pork belly projects. Which in turn keep getting you reelected. So the taxpayers expect the Federal Governemnt to do its primary roll, which is to protect the citizens. Perhaps it would be more clearer to you if I explained what the roll of the Federal Government is not. It is not the roll of the Federal Governemnt to care what some welfare socialist sitting in some open air cafe in Paris, thinks about the United States.
