[history]
New York cops are on the lookout for the deadly toxin ricin.
The NYPD has sent out a "terrorism awareness bulletin" warning law-enforcement officers that the lethal toxin can cause fever, stomachache, diarrhea and vomiting, The Post has learned.
The move came as a British cop was stabbed to death and four others were injured yesterday in an anti-terror raid that authorities said was linked to the discovery last week of traces of ricin at an apartment in London.

Someone posted yesterday morning that Ollie North said he expects the Iraq "War" (whatever it is-coup, invasion, etc) to take place in 3 weeks. If he's anywhere in the ballpark, I expect we will see a big jump in these warnings.
As for the idiots attempting to arrest a terrorist suspect when they were unarmed, they are lucky that only one of them was killed. If this is the typical British mindset, these people are in for a rude awakening.
Of course, I think our local LEOs and security guards are going to be in for surprises, too. I know, in our area, it is common practice for police and security personnel to patrol their areas alone.

If Americans are targeted/killed overseas, it seems that not much impact/outrage is seen HERE in the country. If it's the soldiers who will fall to these 'sneak attacks', it'll probably result in 'proof' of Bush's 'wrongdoing' to want war against sodom husssein.
But let this 'ricin' terrorism stalk the American soil, and I'm sure there will be a sudden wave of citizens who stalk 'visiting' terrorists.

"One of the world's most powerful toxins - four times deadlier than cobra venom - ricin is relatively easy to make. It can be inhaled, ingested or injected, and there is no known antidote.
Plain wrong. NO known death resulting from inhalation...EVER. INgestion will not kill unles very pure. Sick before anything.

There's enough ricin in one castor bean to kill a small child. Only takes one. And it's only 5% ricin.

Ricinus Communis - Castor Bean

They never did find the ricin that was produced in that flat, did they? Now NY cops are being warned about ricin. Perhaps they didn't find the poison because it was on its way here.

Perhaps Ricin is to be part of this "Big Meal" that the terrorist web sites are warning fellow muslims "not to be a part of, in terms them being warned of not eating at major public establishments. Watch very closely who is serving your burgers and steaks the next few months.....

"Big meal"? It seems I missed that one. If you've got a link or added info it would be much appreciated.

There was a posting that refered to what the arabs were posting on their web-sites...there was no direct linkage...also saw an item about on a new-site some-place.
My point is the poison is most effective when ingested...less so inhaled. Watch where you are eating!
To: mdmathis6
Good Lord, that is a creepy thought! Well, looks like I am eating in for awhile.....
