our spies say the New York Times is leading the Gibson investigation.

Is he being serious, or just taking a jab at the Post's main competition? Maybe its Mo Dowd, chasing around another good looking leading man.

They showed some screenshots of the images Mel intends to portray of the crucifiction of Jesus Christ. It was painful to look at. There must be many who are fearful about this movie being produced and released at this time. It could have an exceptionally profound effect on our society and view of Christianity. Hard to describe what I felt seeing the first graphic image. I imagine this movie could potentially turn many to Christ.

No one's perfect, and Mel Gibson has doubtless stumbled from time to time in his life.

But, on balance, he manifests an uncommon degree of right-mindedness while using his considerable talent to succeed in an industry that relentlessly selects against decency.

Nothing that the village idiots in the 'media' paint on the walls with their excrement will influence my opinion of Mel Gibson in the slightest.

Several of us saw this on O'Reilly last night. Gibson said that the reporter was "sent."

We don't think Gibson meant the reporter was sent by Howell Raines. We all got the impression, from Mr. Gibson's facial expression and vocal tone, that he meant "sent by Satan."

Honestly, when he said it it made the hair on my neck stand up. I think he was dead serious.

I think Mel is quite right. Anyone who tries to paint Christianity...........that most non-politically correct of all major world religions...............in a positive light is immediately suspect, a zealot, a racist right-winger, and "maniacal Bible thumper".

Wanna know what else? It won't matter.

God will not be mocked, and He will continue to use Mel for His will; His purposes, and He will protect him. I suggest we hold Mel, his family, and his friends up for some serious prayer, for they will come under serious attack from numerous quarters.

The Times does not understand Christianity and the change that Christ makes in your life. You could probably dig up dirt on any Christian and what they were before. What is real is what are they now and what they are letting Christ make them into.

I am sure the NYT wants to show Gibson's wild youth and say "How can someone who did this portray Christ?"

He can because that is not who he is now.

Mel's next movie should be based upon Daniel in the Lion's Den. God Bless him.

It's my understanding that Gibson is also somewhat conservative (along with his devout Catholicism), making Mel a two-time loser in the jaundiced eyes of the NY Times.

Add to that his extraordinary success in the leftist bastion of Hollywood and I have no doubt the Bolsheviks in the media would love to crucify him, pardon the pun...

I saw Mel on O'Riley last night talking about this and I can't express how much I admire this man. Anyone who saw the movie Signs couldn't help but be moved by the spiritual message the movie carried and the great job of acting it out that Mel Gibson did. Mel witnessed for his faith convincingly last night. When O'Riley asked Mel if he could forgive the reporter(s) once this is all over for what they do to him and his family; Mel replied that "I already have". Mel stated that "I'm a big boy and I can handle whatever they throw at me" and strongly implied that he wasn't worried because he knew he had a much higher power looking out for him.

God Bless you Mr. Gibson, rest assured that you and your mission are in my prayers. You keep making your movies and I promise I'll keep watching them.

I'm extremely impressed at the strong faith messages expressed in Mr. Gibson's recent movies.

The chapel and family scenes in "We Were Soldiers" did an excellent job of portraying the values I am humbled to see in so many of my brothers in arms.

Keep fighting the good fight, Mr. Gibson. My prayers go before you.

The Times sure covers important issues lately.....The Masters and Mel Gibson. It's a reflection on their only readers, rabid hateful liberals.

The guy playing Jesus, James Caviezel, was the lead actor in The Count of Monte Cristo. He's pretty good.

Considering how many movies he has made, (and therefore previous opportunities the media has had), it seems very obvious why they are only NOW attacking him for making THIS movie.
