Last week George W. Bush proposed tax-free stock dividends. "They're double taxation," he whined, or words to that effect, appealing to Americans' love of fairness.

But wait! Every wage-earner who pays income taxes pays Ê"double" taxes every time he pays a sales tax. If he buys gas, he pays for the gas plus a state tax, a federal tax, and a sales tax on all three. "Double taxation" is common.

Only the very rich make an appreciable income from stock dividends, but I'm guessing that, if the Bush scheme passes, a lot more people will start earning those dividends

As a lower-middle class person he is talking about, he's trying a bit too hard and I'm not one for falling for this propaganda machine. There's a certain tax bracket that actually CREATES THE JOBS. And the Demonrat idiots like this writer certainly aren't offering up tax cuts to make us poor people millionaires, in fact they really never offer up anything but rhetoric, as Clintoon raised taxes when he promised a middle class tax cut during '92! And what is Grey Davis offering in California? I'm sure his tax increases include the poor, don't they? They are liars, hypocrites, the party of the serpent(offering up the apple) trying to turn people against one another and they offer up nothing. This guy is one of their typical idiots who play on this stereotype of how they are the champions for the poor, when all they do is want to take everyone down with unrealistic giveaways that always cost more and more and hurt the very people they claim to help.

Bush's plan is an atrocity, so it makes sense that loyal Americans cheated by it would object, while the sanctimonious profiteers who stand to cash in on it would accuse the huddled masses of class warfare.

This was as far as I got reading this butt nugget. How on earth am I being cheated if someone earning more money that I gets to keep more of it, and pay less in taxes?
