Two Silver Lake Regional School District teenagers may face charges for allegedly having sex on a school bus on the way to school as several of their classmates egged them on, according to police.
A 15-year-old middle school girl performed oral sex on a 16-year-old high school boy Dec. 12 as the bus traveled its normal route to the high school and junior high school, which are in separate towns, according to police and school officials. The Silver Lake school district includes Kingston, Halifax, and Plympton.
Those on the bus who cheered on the couple may also be charged, according to police.
Details about the incident were sketchy last night as the Plymouth district attorney's office, which is handling the case, declined to comment. No official charges were filed.

My, my, Governor Romney will have his work cut out to impose his (Mormon or any other) morals on liberal MA. People in MA are liberal yesterday, today, tomorrow, forever!

''Obviously, we are concerned about the safety, health, and welfare of students,'' Kelley said. That's why you teach them things like "alternative life styles", "safe sex" as opposed to abstinence, hand out condoms, teach evilution as fact and rewrite history so as not to offend minorities.
The government funded, politically correct, unionized, multi billion dollar educational system is mass producing clones and they are concerned about things like the morality of genetic engineering?

All parents should pause and reflect....if they are sending their children to public schools via the school bus.
Even if the school is exemplary, consider the period of time your child spends on the bus, unsupervised, and the dangers your child is in during this period. It is up to you, the parents, to protect your child. You can't trust the school system.
Also, never get lulled into a sense of safety about your children taking bus trips for special school activities. Same sort of things could happen. Either drive your child to the event, or don't let them go.
It is up to you, the parents, to get your children safely to and from school.
Most likely, you won't dream of allowing your child to be in someone's home, with a gang of unsupervised children; why do you think they are safe in a school bus?

Yes, and I wonder how many of these parents supported clintin in the lewinskee scandal?
If they didn't that's great! If they did, then it has come back to haunt them.
Great world we live in today isn't it?

I dont' think this is the school principals problem at all. These kids were off school grounds. It is the PARENTS problem now. Shame on this girl for allowing herself to stoop to such a low self-esteem act. Shame on this boy for the same thing. I dont' care how cute or cool it seems to the others...they were all wrong.
Sure, they will laugh about it now but watch in later years it will come back as they think how degrading an act that was. It will hurt no one but the two of them. So be it.
To: TexKat
O'Reilly is out to lunch on this. As for the girl who was caught twice doing this same act...well, that says a lot about her.
To: cubreporter
Could we say she preferred tube steak for breakfast? This creates all kinds of possibilities for the liberals and their school lunch programs.

Also, these "students" you can bet have been taught to admire former President Bill Clinton and Senator Hillary Clinton for their "caring" stance toward the "little people."

Charged with what? Its Massachusetts. Nearly every stupid person in that state voted for that great champion of oral sex, the first pervert William Jefferson Clinton. They probably think is is all right to be a serious rapist too.

Hey, if she were 3 years older, she could be a White House intern in Clinton's White House.

I wouldn't say those kinds of remarks because it makes light of a very serious problem in this country.

I can't believe that you are criticizing O'Reilly for focusing on an issue that goes to the moral fiber of society and the decay of schools. I am glad that O'Reilly uses his bully pulpit to hammer home traditional values and accountability.
Don't you see any value in a major media figure using his platform to promote traditional accoutability in contrast to the agenda promoted by BrokawRatherJennings?
If nothing else, this segment on O'Reilly's show and his outrage, will encourage more parents to chose homeschooling. Since most of us here at free republic want to see the end of the federal education system, do you see any benefit in highlighting instances of decay in that system?

Bill O'Reilly, acting on behalf of his viewers, demands to know what this principal intends to do in this case. And O'Reilly's right! We all deserve to know how this principal (and others like him) will handle this and every other situation in our schools. It will take this flap and a million others like it to shake complacent Americans to rise up and become concerned.
The problem here isn't the sex act. As you say, people have been doing it for years. True, but there was a time that this kind of behavior was done out of sight, in the closet, because the participants knew it was wrong to do it at all, and certainly was not the proper thing to do in public. It terrifies me to know we have a young generation that is under no conviction whatsoever to behave in a moral manner. These are the children of the "if it feels good, do it" generation and they'll be running this country in 20 years! God help us all!
These sex nymphs should be expelled, those who cheered should be suspended for a month and the bus driver should be fired for not intervening. Then, maybe somebody would get a clue.
To: babylonian
The sex nymphs yes indeed should be expelled. Those who cheered them on expelled? I don't think so. Still, the responsibilty lies with the parents. NOT THE PRINCIPAL! And...this is not the first nor will it be the last time this will happen. What exactly should the driver have done? He is responsible for driving a school bus and not responsible for the sex romps of some irresponsible, immature teenagers who don't know the first thing about morals.
This whole thing is a sad commentary on what the me, me, me generation is all about today. Watch the jump in sexual transmitted diseases in later years. It will all be from acts like this passed on from one to another.
Wonder if the two teens now thnk the whole thing was worth it and as funny as everyone thought it was. Do the others respect them? Hell no!
Do the other kids go home and worry about what will happen to these two teens? Hell no...they could care less! It's like anything else today...they LIVE FOR TODAY AND TO HELL WITH TOMORROW.
So, while I respect your opinion and a lot of what you said is true, I still think O'Reilly is out to lunch on this.
We will have morals once again when parents are once again parents to their children. When they teach them everything they can before they walk out that door to attend the first day of Kindergarten. When they teach them respect for law and order. When they teach them respect for their peers. When they teach them respect for their Teachers and YES, the school bus driver and yes, the school janitor and private property or the property belonging to the school and on and on and on.
But...when kids don't respect themselves and often times their parents...well, this kind of bahavior will continue. It's a vicious circle that just goes round and round and round.
Maybe a home cooked meal with a family sitting around the table actually enjoying and loving each other would be nice. Asking about what is going on in school, etc. Helping with chores around the housse. Picking up dog poo if you have a pet. Taking turns with the dishes and cleaning of the house. Bringing in the trash can for your dad. Going to the store for your mom.
Simple yes? But effective. A beliefe in God or in a higher power if they so choose, Love of family, home, siblings, nice friends and knowing your friends parents too.
My mother always told us to choose our friends and not to let friends choose us. What she meant was if you hang out with kids that get into trouble you will no doubt end up getting in trouble to. So, hang out with kids who like and do the same things you do ... it makes sense. People can call that snooty or whatever but it is just guding your child down a path that will be positive instead of negative.
We have a long way to go in this country with the kids who have no traditional backgrounds. I think it is something these kids would enjoy and treasure as we did. But in the meantime...it is very, very sad at how kids can do anything they want today. Little do they realize the impact it will have on them later in life.
I apologize for such a long post but am just so saddened by the acts of kids today....
To: cubreporter
The root problem here does indeed lie with the parents, but these kids are on the principals turf until that bus delivers them back to their parents home. It is the principal's job to swing the axe.
And, I said those cheering should be suspended for a month, not expelled. Can you think of a better way to get the message to kids and their parents that this behavior will absolutely not be tolerated?
To: Nephi
Since most of us here at free republic want to see the end of the federal education system, do you see any benefit in highlighting instances of decay in that system?
No, (I who am ALSO here at Free Republic want to see the end of the fed education system too) and NO, I do not see any benefit at all in highlighting instances of decay in that system! HOWEVER, the school Principal was NOT responsible for the behavior of these two kids no matter WHAT O'Reilly says.
What are the PARENTS going to do is the more important question because the School Principal is only responsible for kids in class while the parents are responsible and have been responsible for their kids since they were brought into this world and will continue to be responsible for them until they become of age. THAT's the bottom line.
Homeschooling sounds great to me and I am all for it. But if a kid isn't taught morals from the beginning it's not gonna matter even if he/she has homeschooling because they will go out and do something somewhere else.
The point is it is the PARENT'S responsibility to instill those values and inflict the punishment when necessary. The Principal expelling the kids is a good step in this case but will NOT stop this kind of behavior. Obviously, these two teens were doing what all the other kids approved of anyway so...they all need some serious attention.
