I would guess it's all SCUBA from the news footage I've seen. Not deep enough to require surface supplied air. Also less chance of stirring up the silt on the bottom as much as using heavier equipt.

One report I saw heard stated they were using divers from Stanislaus and Alameda counties along with Coast Guard boats from SF.

My husband and I went fishing on a lake that you had to draw for a permit to get onto. Only about six boats a day were allowed on it. Four months earlier four men had drowned, but only three of the bodies were recovered. I remembered reading about the search.

While we were checking in before going out, they told us that if we happened to see or snag the body, to please mark the location and come get them immediately. Kind of grossed me out. I wasn't real comfortable about bottom fishing that day for sure, so I ended up chunkin' for smallmouth...

Our son who was with us, was about 22 at the time, and it wasn't long before he was cracking jokes about the length limit on dead guys....

I'm having a little difficulty believing they're gonna hold off until Sat to dive.

SF CBS affiliate is now reporting that the sonar is not available until Saturday. They specified the position of the object as near a fishing pier about 2 miles out, so I doubt that they're trying to flush out the husband if he did it.

You Sir, are apparently one who likes to push buttons. Making such statements as you have about who cares what color she was or who cares about the 100 plus killed in Oakland? What exactly is your agenda? Do you always strive to overachieve in harranging others for their foibles. Were you frustrated as a child? Why do you come in here? I see you have an ancient User ID. How many times have you been banned? What do you care if others say they care? Do you doubt others sincerity because we all aren;t marching in the streets of Oakland in candlelight vigils?
