I know Karl from my dealings with him on another divisive political issue. He chose to side against a powerful lobby for clear moral reasons. He is an intellegent man who will listen to a good argument and will thoughtfully make a decision. Treat him with respect and well reasoned argument and you will see results.

Treat him with respect and well reasoned argument and you will see results. I always try to be nice. But what ever put this idea into the man's head? And he's a Republican for heaven's sake. I can't understand how he got into the pocket of somebody.

I have regretfully given up on The Maine Republican Party (err Tea Club) at this point. I am only supporting individual candidates that at least understand the concept of fiscal responsibility and limited governement. They are few and far between in this state.
I also hear grumblings of a grassroots revolt to take back the party from the Tea Club (I am participating in this).
