Move over Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle-Junior New York Senator Hillary Clinton is taking over.
At least that is the word from MSNBC Hardball host Chris Matthews, who said that in Tuesdays swearing in ceremony for the new Congress, Mrs. Clinton's Democratic colleagues made quite a show of kissing her ring.
It all happened out of camera range said Matthews who described the scene he witnessed to radio talker Don Imus on Thursday Morinings 'Imus in the Morning' political gabfest program.
Asking about the FOX News polls showing that Mrs. Clinton is the 2004 Presdiential Nomination frontrunner for the Democrats the MSNBC-TV talker responded 'You know what is impressive? Sitting in the Senate Press Gallery and looking down realizing that Hillary Clinton is the leader of the Senate Democrats.'
'She is the boss,' Matthews observed.
'Everyone was circling around her when they were having that big dispute over unemployment benefits..Hillary was calling the shots.'

Another thing Matthews said was that 2004 is going to be a close election. Unless both the war and the economy go south, and we have another terrorist attack-How can Bush lose?!!!

Yea, yea, just like she couldn't be a senator. Voter fraud, the gov/media complex, the FBI files. We better switch to dem & vote her out. We can't survive as a country under her.

It is the raw unquenchable thirst for power.Until a Toon is on the Supreme Court or Secretary General of the United Nations this will never stop.
These two are like cyborgs in the Terminator movies..they will never stop unless we throw them in jail!

I don't understand. Why would the Democrats choose her to be their leader?
They didn't choose her....she grabbed control. Too me, that's an impressive feat.
She's also controlling the $$$ and Dem Pres candidates are going to have to kiss her royal @$$ nine ways to sunday for walking around money.
I hope her authoritarian style leads her to overreach in a way that disgusts America at large, damaging the Dem party more than it already has been damaged.

Umm, probably because she has the "goods" on many of them through her missing FBI files?
To: lady lawyer
I agree, lady lawyer. This is demonic in nature.

Chris Matthews does get one thing right.
That in less than 2 years Hillary has become the de facto most powerful elected Democrat in Washington.

My thoughts on that is, if the President dies, she'd be president. I don't think I'd want her to be MY Vice President, would you? Another mystery death around the Clintons...

Hillary has no radar, no sense of timing, no savoir faire or smoothness at ALL, and she is sure to screw up big time, very soon, and end her chances, cook her goose, for all time if we are lucky! If she has none of the above, how did she mange to get to this position of power? Don't underestimate her. It's the equivalent of whistling past the graveyard!

The last thing Hitlery wants is a close election. A Dem in the White House in 2004 means she waits until 2012, and a strong, but losing, showing by a Dem means she is not the presumed frontrunner in 2008. Look for her to sabotage whatever Dem candidate seems to be taking a position of prominence over the next year or so.
