Move over Senate Minority Leader Tom Daschle-Junior New York Senator Hillary Clinton is taking over.

At least that is the word from MSNBC Hardball host Chris Matthews, who said that in Tuesdays swearing in ceremony for the new Congress, Mrs. Clinton's Democratic colleagues made quite a show of kissing her ring.

It all happened out of camera range said Matthews who described the scene he witnessed to radio talker Don Imus on Thursday Morinings 'Imus in the Morning' political gabfest program.

Asking about the FOX News polls showing that Mrs. Clinton is the 2004 Presdiential Nomination frontrunner for the Democrats the MSNBC-TV talker responded 'You know what is impressive? Sitting in the Senate Press Gallery and looking down realizing that Hillary Clinton is the leader of the Senate Democrats.'

'She is the boss,' Matthews observed.

'Everyone was circling around her when they were having that big dispute over unemployment benefits..Hillary was calling the shots.'

SHE really wants to become Senate Majority Leader! However, I don't see her ever becoming a republican...

Matthews is stupid, Queen H. has been running things for the Dems for the past 10 years. I hope she doesn't see the brick wall she is about to run into.

If this is true, it is good news for all of us and the whole USA!

Hillary has no radar, no sense of timing, no savoir faire or smoothness at ALL, and she is sure to screw up big time, very soon, and end her chances, cook her goose, for all time if we are lucky!

Chris Matthews finds this "impressive"...tells you everything you need to know about him. He is one of the ring-kissers. Since Bush decided to go after Saddam, Matthews the wimp has gone waaaaaaaaaaaaaay left. His recent show with hillary was filled with softball questions and he looked like he wanted to wash her feet with oil. It was so sickening I had to turn it off. Haven't watched him since and don't plan to.

Everybody needs to remember that this is no longer about this country and what's good for it. It's ALL about the Clintons and their minions retaking power. And they'll do anything to get it. They have the money.

She may be building but I believe in miracles. A few more of her speeches read by patty to high school students and the varnish will fall off.

I don't understand. Why would the Democrats choose her to be their leader?

Is it because she can yell louder?
Is it because she was the first lady as if that gives her some real or perceived advantage?
Is it because they don't want to end up like Foster?
Is it because no other democrat can lead?
Is it because she is now a New Yorker?
Is it she articulates liberal positions well that draws the Democrats to her?

Is it one or more of these or do they really like her?

Either way, I got to believe this is a good thing for the Republicans.

I honestly think the Clintons have made a deal with the Devil. How else can you explain their ascendency?

My fear is that she will try to deal and persuade Sen. McInsane to run as an 'I' and then run for the big office herself in '04 or '08
