This is NOT your father's President Bush!

Never was, never will be. Hopefully, someday soon, more on this forum will come to realize that.

You can pass it out of committee by a simple majority....but the vote on the Senate floor can be filabustered....the hard part for 8 Dems will be to figure out a way to say they support the nominee, but won't vote to shut off debate...

In addition to praying, we have to all work our butts off for him in 04. God helps them that help themselves!! And this President is worthy of our support, our loyalty and our hard work for his re-election. :-)

Republicans and Civil Rights

Republicans, conservatives and constitutionalists always find themselves on the defensive in regard to civil rights issues. No matter what they do, will do or have ever done, the left, Democrats and contrarians demonize them as racists.

By demonizing Republicans and conservatives the left can continue to impose the big lie, which will be accepted as gospel by minorities, whom Democrats believe "owe" them.

President Bush will probably never come out against affirmative action.

He will just make it irrelevant with his actions up front.

Behind the scenes, AA will be dismantled and packed into a storage crate to be stored with other dead and soon to die left wing programs/agendas. Then, it will be stored in a huge and dusty old storeroom for failed leftwing agendas dismantled by President Bush from 2001 to 2009.

Bush is talking about TAX CREDITS, which means people who don't pay Federal Taxes will be sent some taxpayers money to supplement their income. - Tom

That surprises me a little, but I like it.

I agree. I was thinking that Pickering was a goner after the Lott fiasco.

What exactly was your label of these depressed and terminally hostile people. I have it stored someplace and it was a winner. It may have been:

The perpetually disgruntled who rarely (if ever) find something positive to say?

Wasn't it just last week that the permanent nay sayers who claim to be conservatives were saying that President Bush would not submit Judge Pickering for this years congress because President was balless or something like that.

The post I saw said that Bush was a liberal Republican who was pushing a commie rat agenda.

Robert Novak just reported on CNN that today in the Senate Lott went up to Tom Daschle and shook his hand and laughed with him and gave him a big old hug.

He never even LOOKED at Frist.
