You're right in a sense. But I see him as more than center-right. I think he is quite conservative. The difference is timing. He understands and has always understood that you cannot turn a battleship around overnight. He also really, truly is a compassionate conservative. He sees conservative solutions for society's problems, but he really cares for the poor, the addicted, the unfortunate - this is no game with him. As far as CFR, I understand why some were angry...however, I think he weighed it. He signed it without giving himself any "glory" with the Dems/media..he signed it without giving McCain any glory..maybe he already knows that the Supreme Court will shoot down the parts he hates...we shall have to see how that plays out. He is a man of integrity and principle. We will not always know his reasons..but we will know that nothing he does is corrupt or dishonest. I don't know one person that I agree with all the time. That includes our President.
