Gary Locke? Would he be tempted to run as Senator?

I was thinking the same thing...about faxing her. There is a GOP meeting later this month and I'm sure this will be a topic for discussion. Hope she decides to do it.

Likely candidates are

AG Christine Gregoire

Gov. Gary Locke

First Lady Mona Locke

No one else could get the media attention, the money, has the experience, or is moderate enough (not too liberal) to be credible. If they ran anyone besides one of these three, they'd lose handily.

Dunn could win the senate race, but can we keep her house seat?

Gore/Nader carried the district by 6 points.

Besides, has there been much consternation in WA about Murray's remarks? (because there wasn't much when Jim McDermontt went to Iraq and blasted Bush).

I don't know if Locke would run for Senate or not. He's head of the democratic Governor's Association now so I'm thinking he wants to stay on as Governor. He may chose to run for a 3rd term, heaven help us!

Or there has been talk of Locke as Vice Presidential material. A Governor would be better than a Senator. Again, heaven help us!

If Homer could comprehend the comparison you are making he probably would be offended. I'm sure Marge Simpson is steaming mad at you right now.

LOL !.....

Gregoire would be the only credible challenger to Dunn of the two you mention. This is about finding someone who would justify kicking out a sitting two-term senator and could wage a good race in a toss-up state.

Whenever I think of Peppermint Patty, I think of running shoes with bunched up tube socks on white sallow legs.

I agree that Gregoire would be stronger than Senn. Gary Locke would be pretty strong too.

I think you are wrong about Washington State not being that liberal. I'm afraid that it is. Yes, it is true that Maria Cantwell barely won but she was going up against an incumbent. Believe me, Washington State is very liberal. We did have a moment of sanity there in 1994. We had the largest turnover of Democratic to Republican Congressmen in the nation. Unfortunately, we have only held on to two - Doc Hastings and George Nethercutt. (I think Jennifer Dunn was there already). Pretty pathetic.

Washington State's economy is pretty much in the toilet, thanks in large measure to Gary Locke and all his liberal regulation. I am hoping that this snaps people back to reality. We have some chances in the suburbs but the city of Seattle is a lost cause. And unfortunately, as Slade Gorton once said, all the votes you need in Washington State to win you can see from the Space Needle. We, in Eastern Washington, could vote 100% for the GOP but if we don't make a dent over there, it's all in vain. It's very disheartening.

Kick taliban patty out of the US Senate, and send her to osama as his (5th ?) wife. Let us be kind, and help taliban patty satisfy her lust for osama.
