Gregg Herrington gives anti-Americanism a pass. I expected as much from the Left Coast commentariat...
To: Timesink
It's a little more serious than that. Murray wasn't simply suggesting thinking outside any box, she was participating in a worldwide campaign to demonize the United States by emphasizing and endlessly repeating every sin, real or imagined, and determinedly and deliberately ignoring any virtue, good work, or private volunteerism such as exemplified by the three hospital workers murdered the other day. To Murray they don't count, and to her propaganda they don't exist.
It is one thing when anti-American hate propaganda is in the mouths of bearded, wild-eyed fanatics, quite another when it is propounded by a United States Senator following a tear-down-the-opponent-at-any-cost agenda. Murray should be ashamed of herself, but instead, true to form, is blaming the other fellow.
To: Timesink
Murray needs to resign from the Senate.
I only wish there were a Republican governor is Washington so that we could get another GOP Senator.

Ol' Gregg sure sounds like an Osama Mama apologist to me. Mistakes were made.

Even though some may carp at the flak that the most unfortunate Patty Murray has taken, it is nothing to the grief hurled at Trent Lott, and the resulting action, the loss by Lott of his position within the Senate, had much more to do with a dead but toxic political issue, while what Murray said (again, only words) offered aid and comfort to a declared enemy of America, a definition of high treason, the more so because it was entirely gratuitous.
Sometimes the most profuse of apologies can only fall upon deaf ears.

what Murray said..........offered aid and comfort to a declared enemy of America, a definition of high treason Very well, who can bring forward the charges of treason and how does one proceed?
Has it happened yet?
If not, why not?
To: Timesink
Murray should resign!!!!!!! Period!
To: William Creel
Yes indeed. This ignorant b!+c# will take her fall in the next election, IF the Republican party can manage the situation competently.

Three South Baptist missionaries were rewarded for their material aid to Yemen with bullets. I have the sinking feeling that people like the Senator believe they were intruders and that their murderer had the right to resent them. It is OK, of course, for the US government to send in the Peace Corps.

Am I the only preson on the planet that this tennis shoes Patty mixed up OBL and SoDamnInsane? Of course this mix up would give her the appearance of being dumber than anyone thought.

I saw an absolutely infuriating article in this morning's Santa Barbara fishwrap that basically said that the missionaries had gotten what they deserved for trying to convert the Muslims. If you can believe it, the headline read, "Christian missionaries provoke Muslim anger"
Can you believe this???
To: Inspectorette
If you are close enough, you might go down and dump on the desk of their reporter. Give them a call anyway. If you get the run-around, phone the editor. He passes on the headline.

"Christian missionaries provoke Muslim anger" Is this from a college newspaper? Or? Wherever it's coming from, it really takes the la-la-liberal cake. I hope you wrote to the editor.
I'd like to see a copy of this article online to forward to some devout Christian friends who are, excuse me for being so blunt, totally moronic when it comes to politics. They have no clue that the press is against everything they think and do and they continue to wish AlGore had won the election because of the "chulren" and environment. The density of their skulls amazes me, but perhaps this outrageous artlicle about Christians offending muslims might penetrate their mental swamps.
To: PoisedWoman
This was from the supposedly mainstream Santa Barbara News-Press, the only local paper there. I did go to their website, hoping I'd be able to post the article as it appeared, but it's not there.
There is an online article about the three missionaries, but the original one, along with its incredibly outrageous headline, was pulled. I'll bet their switchboard was jammed with complaints.
Their website is: www.newspress.com

Oh I see; we should excuse a destructive idiot as a Senator because thinking stupid thoughts adds to diversity! Else we might remind her that she's better off keeping her stupid trap shut and letting the media talk for her. Then we would never know what an ass she really is.
Um, what purpose would allowing her to shoot off her nether oriface serve OTHER than to provide the information necessary to rid ourselves of this malignant anus?

Perhaps the local reporters should ask The Traitor in Tennis Shoes if the Middle Eastern men who snuck into Washington State the day before Christmas are there to help build schools and day care centers.
Perhaps Bin Murray should invite them over to tea to increase international understanding. ;-)
