Help us FReep the Wingnuts

I went to the store yesterday and was absolutely livid to see the below sign on the outside wall:

In fact, I was SO angry, I refused to buy anything there.

I went to their site today and could not find out who was funding this ad campaign...but I suspect it is a Canadian government-run organization.

I looked at the poll results on the site and I think I probably had smoke coming out of my ears!

Anyway, I'm asking for the help of our FReeper friends to turn those numbers around. We are sick and tired of a small number of whiny leftists making the rest of us look bad!

Thanks! - The Canada Chapter

By the way...this web site is a viewpoint...it's not anti american that I can see. Many people (American's included) don't agree in a war that's really about oil.

LOL, OIL is the LAST thing this war is about. It's about nukes, biological and chemical weapons, that can be used against us. Either you're misinformed or an ultraleftist. I don't have much respect for either of the two.....

Weapons of mass destruction? Sold to Iraq by how many American company's? (With the blessing of Donald Rumseld).

A country the size of Texas that has been bombed for the last 10 years....a threat to the U.S.? Which country on this planet has the most weapons of mass destruction?

Misinformed...I think not...

I also don't attempt to minimize another's viewpoint (opposing or not) by petty name calling or labelling.

Please start reading the real news and stop watching CNN.

This war is not only about recarving the middle east, controlling oil but also geopolitical positioning in regards to Russia and China. (I won't even get into Israeli interests).

Onto Saudi Arabia! (Then Iran, Syria.....)

GOD BLESS PRESIDENT BUSH
I am so glad that President Bush won the election rather than Al Gore.

President Bush is exactly the leader that the world needs at this troubled time in our history. Strong leadership is needed to fight terrorism and to untangle terrorism's twisted web, to combat the axis of evil head on, that has been allowed to get to this point because of an ongoing attitude of “appeasement” and “tolerance”.

UNITED WE MUST STAND
It is a shame that so many people continue to stick their heads in the sand rather then face the reality of terrorists blowing up skyscrapers and night clubs in their own home town (perhaps it becomes more real – for a time – when it is your own home town?). Perhaps their heads remain in the sand because they are in perpetual denial, fighting the “evil” President in States is a lot easier target then murky terrorists that hide in the shadows, but kill so many so effectively.

As Canadians many continue in their foolish and pathetic I AM CANADIAN mode, desperately trying to differentiate themselves from their "evil" American neighbours. Eagerly participating in American bashing while at the same time taking all the advantages that being neighbours to Americans for granted.

As Canadians we remain the spoiled bratty cousin that continues to bite our big American cousin’s hand who is holding the gun that is protecting us.

Canada has allowed its own army to deteriorate to the point that we are now relying on the Americans to help us patrol our own waters since the current Liberal government cannot apparently afford to pay the Canadian coast guard’s gas bill, making Canadian’s vile abuse of America in the form of this website and other similar propaganda even that much more pathetic.

I challenge this website’s owners’: if you feel this strongly about your cause you should head over to Iraq and make yourself “human shields”. We will support you in your suicidal quest, because one less Canadian fool is one less vote for the Liberals.

Better yet, next time terrorists hijack a plane or two why don’t you and all your friends head on over to the CN tower and trust in peace and goodwill to protect you and your pathetic I AM CANADIAN sorry asses.

Quote:
"outside convenience stores"

Connie, what convenient store was this sign at? List the name here.

This "advertising" company seems to not own the convenient stores but to rather be a type of subcontracted advertiser.

Quote:
"Flashmedia is a network of street level vertical outdoor posters measuring 32" x 24" located outside convenience stores. The campaign is running nation-wide (excluding the Maritimes) and consists of 4000 posters."

We need to write letters to the head office of the convenient stores to report this controversial activity to the owners as well as boycott shopping in the convenient stores that display these ads. This needs to be communicated to the convenient store owners in personal letters as well as through letters to the editor in local papers.

Even if the ads are only displayed in Ontario and BC, we need to boycot these convenient stores in every province (if chains are displyaing this sort of propaganda)...and here's the kicker, if the international head office is in the United States, the FReepers can do likewise in writing letters as well as boycotting, to make the American franchise aware of what is happening in Canada.

If it is a Canadian only chain, Americans can still write their disgust about this anti-Americanism barely over a year since 9/11, to Canadian newspapers and to the Canadian convenient store head office as well.
