I like the Ed Wood spaceship they use in their intro. Looks like somebody's been studying the L. Ron Hubbard model for making big bucks by creating your own religion.

ITEOTWAWKI

That's great, it starts with an earthquake, birds and
snakes, an aeroplane and Lenny Bruce is not afraid.
Eye of a hurricane, listen to yourself churn - world
serves its own needs, dummy serve your own needs. Feed
it off an aux speak, grunt, no, strength, Ladder
start to clatter with fear fight down height. Wire
in a fire, representing seven games, a government
for hire and a combat site. Left of west and coming in
a hurry with the furies breathing down your neck. Team
by team reporters baffled, trumped, tethered cropped.
Look at that low playing! Fine, then. Uh oh,
overflow, population, common food, but it'll do. Save
yourself, serve yourself. World serves its own needs,
listen to your heart bleed dummy with the rapture and
the revered and the right, right. You vitriolic,
patriotic, slam, fight, bright light, feeling pretty
psyched.

It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine.

Six o'clock - TV hour. Don't get caught in foreign
towers. Slash and burn, return, listen to yourself
churn. Locking in, uniforming, book burning, blood
letting. Every motive escalate. Automotive incinerate.
Light a candle, light a votive. Step down, step down.
Watch your heel crush, crushed, uh-oh, this means no
fear cavalier. Renegade steer clear! A tournament,
tournament, a tournament of lies. Offer me solutions,
offer me alternatives and I decline.

It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine.

The other night I dreamt of knives, continental
drift divide. Mountains sit in a line, Leonard
Bernstein. Leonid Brezhnev, Lenny Bruce and Lester
Bangs. Birthday party, cheesecake, jelly bean, boom! You
symbiotic, patriotic, slam book neck, right? Right.

It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel
fine...fine...

Some notes on "The Lamb lies Down on Braodway" by Genesis and the character "Rael...from this link...http://www.tnt-audio.com/topics/lamb_e.html

For those of you who are unaware, The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway is an epic album that many consider a milestone in rock music. This is four sides of one continuous story told (sung) by Peter Gabriel. Though it has several stand out songs like the title cut and Carpet Crawlers, this really needs to be listened to in one continuous sitting to take in the entire experience. It tells story, and a pretty good one at that if you are into fantasy (supposedly). Just look at the cover art and you can tell how bizarre this story (seemingly) is.
Now, the common consensus is this album is about Rael, a Puerto Rican kid living on the streets of New York City. During one of his frequent bouts of graffiti art, Rael finds himself slipping into the netherworld below the streets of Manhattan. This begins an adventure into the surreal that is as bizarre as it will be foretelling.

Has this group of Euro-nuts entered a world as surreal as it is foretelling?

More on Peter Gabriel's Rael...from http://www.lodz.pdi.net/~eristic/yes/tr_77.html

[Interpretations: (i) It doesn't take a great leap in logic to connect the hidden spraygun with a sexual reference, especially given that Peter Gabriel is the author. The reference to Rael "wiping his gun" and "forgetting what he did" in the middle of the song could have any number of meanings, some more sinister than others, (ii) It similarly doesn't take a great leap in logic to connect the lamb with a emissary from another plane of existence, alerting Rael of the fate which soon awaits him, (iii) It does take a certain degree of interpretive skill to associate the line "cabman's velvet glove" with the Velvet Underground, as at least one listener has done. Andy Warhol worked as a cab driver at one point, you see. If this is an accurate interpretation, one wonders what exactly Gabriel meant by the line, (iv) I've often thought that The Lamb contains certain homoerotic references, matched with heterosexual representations in a somewhat confusing manner. Here, the "Wonder women, you can draw your blind/Don't look at me, I'm not your kind" line could be seen as verifying this possibility. More on this later.]

These guys have a basic flaw in their theology:
IF humans were Genengineered, there'd be an odd unidentifiable glob of chromosomes that apparently do nothing yet are UNIVERSAL to mankind without exception and without differences. It would be a control device.

What person in their right mind creates something that might possibly go bizzak without engineering an off switch of some sort? No-one in their right mind would do that. And a supposedly technologically advanced race wouldn't do it eitther. They'd engineer it so that they could put us down like rabid dogs if need be.

An unidentifiable seemingly useless chromosomal anomoly would be a hint, if it existed. We haven't yet mapped all of the human genome, so any messages saying that they've found an apocolypse chromosome would be way too premature.

But, there isn't one likely to be found.
