"...says the Democratic leadership staffer. "I just don't think any of us saw the irony in what we did."No, it's not that they didn't see, they just don't CARE...and that's finally beginning to show.
Like that song..."True Colors" -- maybe the Blacks will finally see that Republicans really DO want involvement based purely on merit. The way life should be - and leads to the advancement of concept of "the American Dream."

"You know, we didn't get along well with [Republican Rep. J.C.] Watts. But I'll say this for the Republicans: they gave him a leadership position without blinking. My party can't say that, and it saddens me.""This is the message to deliver over and over again."
Amen to that! Sooner ot later they will look around and realize that all the black faces they see in any real leadership positions belong to republicans. Eventually they may actually come to believe their eyes instead of lying Rats.

Dems only want to keep blacks on the plantation and out of the house. Blacks seem to like this arrangement. They deserve each other.

"The democrat party survives by keeping African-Americans in perpetual servitude. It's that simple." Democrats draw the minority vote.
Consider 2004, the Black vote, then factor in the Mexican vote.
Nothing to laugh about.
To: Kay Soze
Democrats need their votes but will NEVER elevate blacks with in their party. The democrats need the votes and they can count on them from the blacks. The blacks can whine all they want, but when the chips are down they know what side their bread is buttered on. The other alternatives at the next election are to stay home, or vote Republican, but that is shooting themselves in the foot.
The Republicans aren't going to get them someone else's money. Quite the contrary, the Repubs want to give tax breaks, which means less money to reallocate.
Whine all you want but show up at the next election. Vote (D). - Tom

Well, it is EASIER to play the victim...but not all want to BE victims anymore...I believe that there's water in the glass, at least. --It's not half full yet, of course, but I think it will be soon.

The RATS never cared about elevating Blacks, it's time for Blacks to realize this.

**Pelosi's decision to elevate Matsui shocked Black Caucus members, who had been privately assured by Pelosi lieutenants that their candidate for the DCCC job, Bill Jefferson of Louisiana, was a serious contender for the job.**
Pelosi's in hot water.......Hahahahaha!
To: mjp
"She had an opportunity to show America our party was the real big tent, that we could see past color and recognize talent and hard work. She failed. Matsui is nothing but a liberal from California, a crony," says the Jefferson supporter.Do these people realize how crazy they sound? He uses the term "see[ing] past color" to mean "picking a black person." In his mind, affirmative action is colorblindness is affirmative action... weird.

"Now she's saying the party will find some other way to get us into leadership," says the Black Caucus member. "But we know that's just talk. You know, we didn't get along well with [Republican Rep. J.C.] Watts. But I'll say this for the Republicans: they gave him a leadership position without blinking. My party can't say that, and it saddens me." Dear Member - maybe you will start to realize that all the Dem talk on racial matters is just that - sweet nothings to win your loyalty - but they never deliver on their promises. I don't expect you to vote with the GOP 100 percent, but when you knee-jerk vote in lockstep with the Dem plantation masters, the Dems can take you for granted.

Now, now, people!!!! Her Highness Ms. Pelosi has "lots of blacks" as friends......................who do her laundry, clean her house, etc.I hope this story gets legs (but I'm not holding my breath...) First Maynard Jackson gets shoved aside for Terry "Rapist Enabler" McAwful. Then Carl McCall gets stabbed in the back by the DNC in his bid for governor of New York. Now this.
It's all in a day's work for the white DNC plantation owners.
To: MarkT
"The Dem position: Please be quiet, you uppity Negroes; just vote for us and sit in the back of the bus where you belong; when we want you for something, we will let you know. Sincerely, the Dem Leadership" Bingo! I keep waiting for them to wake up and let the Rat party know they're not THAT stupid.
(That sound you hear is the resounding echo of a pin dropping in the plantation house.)

As the largesse from the welfare state diminshes (see "welfare reform" led by Republicans but [eventually] signed by x42) there will be more AAs leaning to the pubbies. The last election saw significantly more under-30 AAs (as well as Hispanics and Jews) voting for Dubya. I think that's one of the reasons for the whole Lott of hysteria.
If they don't sell the proposition that the pubbies really wear white sheets on the weekends, they're through.

Given the times, the circumstances, Pelosi's actions are probably worse than Lott's." But is this gonna make the morning, afternoon and nightly news for two entire weeks? Huh? NOOOOOOOO.... And why not? Because Pelosi bats for the dims, that's why...

And the racists in the black caucus will forgive her, after all, they are democrats and both being racists cancels out the injustice. What a bunch of (non-constituent- representing) idiots.
