President Bush and First Lady Laura departed Camp David today for Crawford, Texas, where they will ring in the New Year. The First Couple will return to the White House the weekend after the holiday. Enjoy your daily dose of Dubya!

Since I bought one of those special Christmas tree extension cords for running up the trunk of the tree with several outlets for lights to be plugged in at three different levels, I haven't dreaded putting on the lights any more.

I love those life-sized cut outs. When we were in Washington DC in April, there was a guy outside the Whitehouse with two cut-outs - GW and the Sinkster. For $5 you could have your photo taken with either one. That photo became our Christmas card this year!! And I've never had more positive comments on a Christmas card!
