A Bird in the hand is worth two in the Bush. (Do you think they were referring to Sen Bird?)

If you give a man a fish, he can eat for a day. If you teach a man to fish, he can eat for the rest of his life.

There's always seeing the glass as half full rather than half empty.
And here's a great 'silver lining' song.
Look for the silver lining When e'er a cloud appears in the blue.
Remember somewhere the sun is shining, And so the right thing to do is make it shine for you.
A heart full of joy and gladnesss will always banish sadness and strife
So always look for the silver lining, And try to find the sunny side of life.
Then there's 'walking on the sunny side of the street' and 'Everytime it rains it rains pennies from heaven' and 'Keep your sunny side up' (you know, be like two fried eggs.....)
All old songs. :o)

'A clean house is a sign of a dirty mind'
'A house should be clean enough to be healthy, and dirty enough to be happy.'
I live by both of these mottos! :o)
