<> No need to apologise. I have been visited by many trolls myself:)
I was feeling in the Holy Days mood last night and just set about having a little fun. Reflexively defending one's President is nothing to apologise for:)<>

"That essay by Frank Schaeffer was one of the most beautiful things I've ever read." Not many things make me cry like a GirleyMan...but that does...MUD

Happy birthday, too!! Just answer me one question: how do you see the second half of a trilogy? Shouldn't it be the second third??
To: Betteboop
Hi!
Thanks for the birthday wishes!
as for the trilolgy, I never thought of the irony of calling the second part the second half. It does sound silly since there are three parts. I quess you should call it the second part. or something like that. <p. Don't mind me, I'm in a silly mood. LOL!!

TTT's a great movie, LG! and Wisconsin is a good state.
In the winter you may want to move to Florida though, LOL.
Hope you had a great Christmas!

Also, it is better written and easier to follow. And no digs on the cabinet. So true, Miss Marple! I had a hard time putting down Fighting Back. Sammons' writing style is smoother and warmer than Woodward's, and very engaging.
At the beginning of Bush at War, I found it interesting and positive. As I worked my way through it, however, it got tedious and I found myself getting bogged down with both the detail, and the erratic jumping from meeting to meeting.
I still think that the average American reading it will have a very positive impression of the strength and character of our President, though, and that's a good thing.
Pippin, that picture of Frodo is now my wallpaper as well!

....how do you see the second half of a trilogy? Shouldn't it be the second third?? You know, you are rather astute for someone with a very high voice who says, "Boop boop bedoop." ;o)

Hillary got 7% and Bush got #1 by a large margin. I had heard that the poll had Bush and Hillary as to most admired. Talk about poor reporting and/or deliberate manipulation of the news so that if not numbers were known it would appear that Hillary and Bush were neck and neck. Bushas 28 % and Carter was 9 % yet CNN reported on the news at the bottom of the screen that Bush and Hillary were the most admired people. Please--what a bunch of malarkey.

He doesn't look too good to me. He seems all puffed up. Would it be that shot he got? I pray to G*d that he will be ok.

I think I read somewhere that he had a sligh cold. I hope that is all that's wrong.
The other Dosers have assured me that there plenty of good doctors in attendance at Crawford just in case. Keep praying!

I read an article posted on the Hobbit Hole that said that the theatrical release of Return of the King may be at least 3 1/2 hours long! Can you imagine what the Extended version will be like? Our #2 son was trying to imagine how much the boxed set of the Extended versions would cost! Probably close to $100; $200, if it is one of those special kinds like FoTR with the Argonath bookends.
I loved the Midgewater marsh scene where Aragorn hauls the deer to the Hobbits for their dinner, and the singing was great!! The Extended version was SO much better than the orignal because it fleshed out the story so well!
