I've noted, with some dismay, the overwhelming lack of coverage by the "mainstream" media over the past week concerning comments from Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) regarding her perception of the humanitarian acts of Usama bin Laden, and his popularity in the world.
Sen. Murray's statements are quite offensive to most Americans, and are at least on a par with the comments uttered by Sen. Trent Lott (R-MS). You in the major media spent hundreds of hours of air time, and hundreds of column-inches of print, in excoriating Sen. Lott, parsing his words, analyzing his statements and intent. Why have you not done the same for Sen. Murray?
The media, in general, spends much time and effort to state that they are not biased - that they offer a fair and balanced view of the news. With respect, it is difficult to believe that contention, based upon the current evidence of these two news stories.
I would respectfully request that your organisation take another look at your current editorial and news selection process, and reconsider your actions regarding the Sen. Murray situation.

I have just joined a new veteran's group called "Vietnam Vets Against the Traitors . " We watched our brothers die in Vietnam because of traitors like Jane Fonda. No one here at home stood up for us.
Now you are supporting our enemies in the current war and we will not let you go unopposed. We will denounce you at every turn. We are currently mounting a nation wide "Letter to thr Editor" campaign to warn people about your anti-American activities.
