WoW. Here is California, a supposedly Catholic oriented state banning participation in a christian organization. Will California be the first state to completely ban religion? I think it will be several years before they do that.

Once California is returned to Mexico this sort of thing will not happen.
(Note: "returned" used only as a rhetorical device since earlier American colonial claims to the territory supercede those of Mexico, a state established long after the USA which acquired right to those claims directly from the colonial governments asserting them. The USA did not challenge the legitimacy of the Spanish claims because it was a wartime ally.)
Anyway, the history note notwithstanding, they can't "return" the California government to Mexico fast enough for my taste, and one can just imagine what's going to happen to pro-homosexual judges when the "federales" lock them up in Mexican jails!

STATEMENT:"California Supreme Court to review whether judges can be Boy Scouts"
RESPONSE: PEOPLE REVIEW WHETHER THESE PEOPLE CAN BE SUPREME COURT JUDGES.
COMMENT: However, that would require a certain amount of strength. Apparently such strength does not exist.

California judicial canons, controlled by the Supreme Court, already demand that judges divest themselves from groups that discriminate against women and minorities. So am I to assume that there are groups in California that "discriminate against women & minorities" and that some of these groups are obviously known, as judges had to "divest themselves from" them?
I wonder what these groups are?

It is, of course, perfectly OK for them to belong the the Califonia Association of Black Judges or the California Association of Gay Judges, whereas, it would be inappropriate for them to belong to the Califonia Association of White Judges or the Califonia Association of Straight Judges.

Yes, our wonderful Left proves once again that they do not believe in quaint little democratic notions like FREEDOM OF ASSOCIATION. What fascists!

If the California Supreme Court does this, can the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit be far behind?
By the way, if the state courts can adopt these rules, I think it's just a matter of time before the state bar association does the same thing. I wonder if a lawyer disbarred because of membership in the Boy Scouts could bring suit.

If this kind of 'moral high-ground' is going to be taken with judges.....can we then move on to Congress? /sarcasm

The fascist Gaystapo is at work again. Soon your government servants will not be allowed an all male poker night or to attend a Catholic Church. We let them steal our freedom at our own and our children's peril.

California is a cesspool. A literal socialist hellhole spewing toxic bile and spreading its tentacles across the continental divide. The sooner it drops into the ocean and takes the no-good dimwit governor with it, the better.
