As we believe that:
The right of private association in the United States is a sacred right of all Americans;
People have a right to associate with whom they want, where they want, in a private setting, in a legal manner, without interference from outside entities;
Those not a member of a certain private association have no business trying to dictate the private lives of those members of said private association;
There is no parallel between public discrimination and the right of private association;
You, as chair of the National Council of Women's Organizations are using the Augusta National controversy purely for your own selfish gain and not for the advancement of equal rights;
The National Council of Women's Organizations (NCWO), a women's group which won't admit men's groups and which won't call on the Ladies Golf Club of Toronto to admit a men into its membership, is highly hypocritical for trying to tell a men's group they must admit women;
Recent statements you have made to the media show an arrogance that is beneath someone of your position, further proving your actions are for personal gain and not for equal right;
Your actions, indicating certain people should not have the right of private association simply because you disagree with their policies, are completely reprehensible. We call on you and the NCWO to abandon your un-American attack on the sacred right of private association in the United States, and insist on a cease and desist of your activities against Augusta National Golf Club, effective immediately.
Sincerely,
Hang tough, Hootie!
Don't forget to bump the thread!
I can't find where to turn those on, will someone help me please?
Play golf.
