San Mateo County Considers Gun Ban (FReeping needed!!)

LOCAL LEGISLATIVE ACTIVITY

What:  The San Mateo County Board of Supervisors will take testimony and make its final Vote to adopt an ordinance banning the possession of firearms or ammunition on San Mateo County property. 

Why:  The purpose of this ordinance is to ban gun shows at the San Mateo County Expo Center.

When:  Tuesday, December 17.  Chamber doors open at approximately 8:45 am, please show up early as seating is limited. Allow enough time to go through security screening.

Where:  San Mateo County Board of Supervisors Chambers, in the Hall of Justice at 400 County Center (formerly 401 Marshall Street) in Redwood City.

Action Requested:  Please attend this meeting. Pick up a speaker card at the entrance to the Chambers, fill in your card, and give it to the clerk inside. The clerk's desk is on the podium in front of the circular Supervisor table.  Submit a card if you want to speak, or if you want to submit your written opinion for the record. Indicate on the card that you wish to address Item 8, "Prohibiting the Possession of Firearms on County Property."

Also: Please call the Supervisors. Express your displeasure and opposition. This ordinance has nothing to do with public safety.  Supervisor Contact Information: (650) 363-4653

They banned crime...the criminals laughed
They ban guns and the law abiding will comply
The law abiding are now easy prey for the criminals
The cops would rather bust the law abiding for chicken crap laws ...
Like the old lady said while traveling 30 mph on the interstate when the cop pulled her over and asked if she knew why she was being stopped

It's worth the try, unfortunately, most of my (politically hyperactive) neighbors are transplants from East Coast urban areas who have never owned nor shot a gun in their lives. I'm surrounded by invaders. TAKE BACK CALIFORNIA!
