The pope's role is to defrock a priest when asked to do so if the circumstances call for it.

Apparently you think the religious leader of 1 billion people also should have the role of local cop and prosecutor of every town in the world.

It is a fact that victims did not press charges and therefore prosecutors did not bring indictments. The acts may otherwise be considered criminal, but the pope does not proecute people - even in Vatican City (his own country) he transfers criminal cases within the walls to the civilian authorities of Rome - by choice.

Pope-haters & catholic-haters - please continue to show your true colors. We are taking this all down.
