.A MAJOR WINTER STORM WILL AFFECT THE SAN FRANCISCO BAY AREA THIS WEEKEND. THE STORM WILL BRING HEAVY RAIN AND STRONG WINDS TO THE ENTIRE REGION...WITH THE MOST WIDESPREAD STORM CONDITIONS EXPECTED ON SATURDAY. We've had around three inches in the last 12 hours or so, and are getting pounded right now.
Time to pull out the hip boots!

It has been raining steady since about 4:30 am.
The last 45 minutes, the steady has increased to a whole lot. It is now whipping in from the SE. Whenever that happens we get a lot of rain.
Fortunately, my wife bought me a new set of chest waders last month. Hipwaders may not be enough!
I had tentative plans of going up to the Kali/Oregon border to fish the Chetco and Smith Rivers this coming week. I will not be doing that. They are getting hammered up there.
