A flier comparing Lee Fletcher to former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke has the Monroe Republican and 5th Congressional District candidate fuming at the alleged race-baiting tactics of his opponent, U.S. Rep-elect Rodney Alexander of Quitman.

The flier, which states, "The more you listen to Lee Fletcher, the more he sounds like David Duke" also contains pictures of Fletcher and Duke, the former Mandeville-based white supremacist, and has quotes from both.

It sounds like there could be a threesome again in 2004: Alexander, Fletcher, and Holloway, and if so, one can be sure that Alexander will win again by an even larger margin. LA voters stick with most incumbents.

We need to send illegal aliens back to the country they came from marked COD.

I'm all for reasonable limits on immigration, but branding illegal immigrants as some kind of bottom-feeding fish seems to be going a bit far.

You can see right here what drives Leftist politics - word distortion. Fletcher actually specified that he was talking about "illegal immigrants". Just like Tancredo who always gets described as anti-immigrant (including legal) even though he is against illegal immigration.

I remember a local politician back in the 1980s around these parts talking about curbing illegal immigration and the next day he found himself, in the local newspaper, as having said that all immigrants should be sent back home. This was particularly wierd as his wife was an immigrant herself. He got the newspaper to correct itself but the damage had been done.
