Jeff, you may want to check about Wyoming. I believe the "Sheppard law" was rejected.
The only Rocky Mountain state that has antidiscrimination/special rights (and only in GOVERNMENT employment) is Montana.

Illogical? Oh, and it's logical for a guy to slap another guys bum? Bum slapping falls ouside the domain of logic.

Such Intolerance!
/sarcasm off
To: Maelstrom
"...You will care when they come after your wife or husband, your daughters, and your children..." Read the post again Maelstrom. You'll see that I'm making a sarcastic reference to the illegitimate, revisionist definition of the word 'gay' when I say "I don't care...".
"...While your family is being molested, you will be chastized for being intolerent..."
LOL!
Maybe so. But I won't be aware of the 'chastisement' inasmuch as I'll be dead.
As will be the first, and maybe second, wave of those whose intention it was to "molest my family".
"...Yes, many gay men consider little girl toddlers in diapers as little tramps begging for "it". I've seen it up close and personal, and it isn't just a few, it's a significant percentage that cannot be brushed off..."
Given that Butt-Rangers are, by definition, pathologically unbalanced sexual deviates of the first order I wouldn't doubt for an instant that there are a certain percentage of them who would -in addition to sticking their gnarled pee-pee in their buddy's nether region- also enjoy preying on a little girl.
Or a dog...
Or a watermelon...

Ah, throwing around the "bigotry" canard. Good to see a good Democrat/RINO on board. Are you implying that conservatives/Republicans endorse bigotry? I don't buy that for one second. No I don't give A DAMN what Butch and Sally or DIck and Bruce do with their lives. However, when you start telling me who I can associate with and who I can hire or fire, than you are trampling on MY rights! Hate to break it to you, pal, but the federal law of the land says you can't fire a person solely because of race, creed, gender, religion, or disability. In your lifetime, that will also include sexual orientation. Got a problem with this? If so, just lobby your congressman and Senators to repeal the 14th Amendment to the United States Constitution. Or, you can take the easier route and move to a place like Saudi Arabia, where your philosophy is generally accepted.

Folks would form a line to support gay rights.I doubt it - only "gays", and a few others who have no clear self-identity would support same. Besides, what "rights" are you talking about? As far as I'm concerned, "rights" are constitutionally based and for EVERYONE, not lifestyle/behavior based for a few deviants!!
Said "gay" support, of course comes from the deep knowledge of the error of their ways. The stronger the subconcious feeling of wrongness, the more vocal, public and energetic the defense of the deviant behavior. It's really quite sad!
BTW, never saw a gay, as in deviant, gay, as in happy - all know in their heart of hearts that they are making a dam*ning lifestyle choice and, as a result, are actually quite sad deep down. Oh, they ACT all happy and sensitive, and all that, but in moments of introspection (they slip and do this occasionally), you can see the real, underlying torment (and it's a torment from within, not caused by "bigotry" or condemnation from without!).
Remember my originally stated "position" on this (no vaseline required): I don't tell anybody what life choices to make for themselves, and I don't expect anyone to tell me what life choices to make for myself. Leave me alone and I'll leave alone! Keep what is supposed to be private just that, PRIVATE, and we'll all just get along.
Facts is facts - I don't hate ANYBODY, and I'm not attacking you, "ItsJeff"; I'm merely stating facts. I will admit that I wouldn't cut a muslim any breaks (!), but I don't go around "bashing" ANYONE in any way (except, maybe, islamics - LOL!). Not hating, however, does NOT mean I accept everything and I have no doubts about not accepting even the slightest aspect of the B-F'r agenda. Keep it in the bedroom, fine! Bring it into my kid's classroom, and that's NOT fine!

Glad to hear you have nothing against butt-pirates. Gay bars also have a great advantage over straight bars in that they can seat many more men. Hell, all you gotta do is turn the bar stool upside down and you can seat 4 homos per bar-stewl.

That brain of yours is certainly working overtime. Where do you get your figures from, goat intestines? Or is it just another erroneous assumption on your part (such as the assumption I'm gay).
Loser.

It's not whether someone is homosexual that's the problem; it's the advocacy of the radical agenda.
Our new governor never admitted her butchery; but she advocates legalizing domestic partnerships. Conservative gays do NOT push their lifestyle in other people's faces.
To: mg39
For trying to be a guy preaching tolerance, you sure are being rather intolerant.
To: MattAMiller
Yeah, that's the point.

"For trying to be a guy preaching tolerance, you sure are being rather intolerant."
Cute. I have no tolerance for bigotry, and I won't make nice with haters.
I don't care whether you or other homophobes tolerate gays. I just want to see an end to legal discrimination which, incidentally, should go a long way towards demolishing a lot of the myths and ignorance about homosexuality.

You libs twist the Constitution so much it makes me sick.
The 14th amendment says, in addition to applying the Bill of Rights to the states, that everyone will be treated equally under the law. IOW, no special laws for any group of citizens.
The Bill of Rights has clearly defined freedom of association as an inalienable right. This includes who a employer wants to have representing his business.
It really doesn't matter what laws you try to pass, the inalienable right remains - you're just trampling on it with laws that infringe on that right.
Oh, and by the way, there is a natural human revulsion to homosexual behavior, because it is a genetic aberration.
Just wanted to be clear on that one.
