Once again, part of my youth is being dragged through the mud to satisfy today's culture.

Kind of reminds me of an old Lenny Bruce cartoon called "Masked Man"
Who's next "The Lone Ranger"? Sheesh.
To: conservativemusician
Oh my, don't ask! Don't want to raise issues of Lone Range and Tonto traveling the West together don'tcha know.

You really think Lash LaRue was straight? And Wonder Woman wasn't a dyke?

Who's next "The Lone Ranger"? Sheesh. I read another article on this "new" Rawhide Kid.
The character will not (initially?) be "overtly" gay.
The inferences will be (barely) subtle, sort of indicating his "gender preference".
The example was Rawhide's remarks about the LONE RANGER.
Paraphrasing thusly;
" That tight powder blue suit, and the mask, wellll, no wonder that indian follows him around."
(Laughing and crying at the same time)
I sometimes wish they (gays) would all just go back in the closet.
Life was simpler then, and the Rawhide Kid was just a fast gun.

"We're importing a modern gay vibe into an archetypal Western story," Alonso said. "What we have is a comedy Western--a straight Western with comic undertones." This is a straight western comic cover with comic overtones:

Early Wonder Woman was straight (but kinky). There were quite a lot of scenes of bondage and phallic symbols in early Wonder Woman comics.

The Lone Ranger is also impuned in the sample description from the Rawhide Kid comic (something about that powder blue suit and the indian following him).
