Shakespeare said it well: "Praising what is lost, Makes the remembrance dear." Phil Gramm and Dick Armey chose to retire this year after long and distinguished careers in Congress. I challenge Freepers to recognize their service to the country by sending them a thank you. (for the lazy) Phil Gramm can be sent an email at: phil_gramm@gramm.senate.gov. Or C/O 370 Russell Senate Office Building,Washington, D.C. 20510 Dick Armey's address is: 301 Cannon Office Building, Washington D.C. 20515-4236

Too often we forget to thank those who strive for us in public service. These were two of the best. Remember that a snail mail thank you may be a treasured memento for these good men. See addresses below

Gramm has joined UBS PaineWebber. I heard him today on the squawk box. Very inspiring.

Mea Culpa! The email address for Phil Gramm is out of service. He gave up his seat early so the incoming Senator from Texas would have a little seniority. Use the snail mail.

Bye, Dick. Have fun working for the ACLU. Hugs and kisses, Michael.

Too bad Bush can't find a place for them in the administration.
