Lewiston,Maine: New refugee coordinator starts work this week

LEWISTON, Maine (AP) A woman whose parents were immigrants and who was a multicultural officer for Canada starts her work Monday helping Maine's second-largest city adjust to the arrival of about 1,100 Somali refugees.

The atmosphere has gotten tense in the city of 36,000 since February 2001, when Somalis started arriving from other U.S. cities.

Nobody's upset about "sudden diversity". People are upset about thousands of Somalis moving into town with their hands out. I'm afraid I'd just move. "A wise man is prepared to lose his baggage several times in the course of a life."

Who said that bringing the Somalis wouldn't bring new jobs? See, if you are a case worker, social worker, Somali/English as a second language, HUD, Race lawyer, Food Stamps, Section 8 housing administrator, and soon, LEO's, well, there will be opportunities in Lewiston.

A Canadian multicultural officer. Obviously she cannot be trusted. The City of Toronto has boasted, via the Toronto Daily Star, of the fact that White residents in Toronto are now a minority.

It might be asked, what is wrong with that? The Toronto Star hardly dare use this word in Canada, but it is the Jamaicans.

About six weeks ago, the Star called down the Toronto police for "racial profiling", against blacks. In the last three weeks, ten deaths occured in about twelve days- gang war violence- all Jamaicans. A terrible rise in crime, even in Toronto.

All this indicates that the Canadian multicultural agenda, as far as certain groups are concerned is an Absolute disaster. This functionary, this politically correct woman, can never admit it.

Some groups are an absolute disaster to ordinary, law abiding, citizens. The woman is a fraud.

Reading through again and more carefully. Of course Windsor, Ontario is about 280 miles from Toronto. The publicity for this woman states her views on - of all people- the Vietnamese. She talks of mediation in that city - Windsor between long time residents and the new diverse population.

So far so good. We do know that the socialist press in Canada is keeping a situation under wraps in Windsor (right opposite Detroit).

People get into foolish situations involving their addiction to gambling in the famed Windsor Casino. The Vietnamese gangs moved in to loan shark and save solid citizens from being whomped by legally constituted debt collectors and the resulting disgrace.

Gang warfare took place between rival gangs, wanting control over a lucrative market. They have killed each other.

I cry to think American lives were wasted over these people.

After warching "Blackhawk Down" last night, I can't imagine this country accepting any Somali. How on earth can they determine who killed and injured our troops?

LOL....that was really funny, and right on. As if a "diversity" potluck dinner is going to solve anyone's problems. It isn't going to make the Somalis get jobs or stop popping out umpteen million kids.

What I am curious about, and what the article fails to mention, is exactly what this woman's job description is. Multicultural officer? What the hell is that? Help Maine adjust to the immigrants?

Here's an idea....maybe she should be helping the immigrants adjust to Maine!
