[history]
Politicians get a lot of flak, much of it deserved. But it's important to recognize, too, when they perform above the call of duty.
We're talking, of course, about Assembly Speaker Herb Wesson, Assembly Republican Leader Dave Cox, Senate Republican Leader Jim Brulte and the dozen or so other members of the Legislature who are attending a meeting this week sponsored by the California Correctional Peace Officers Association (CCPOA).

President Bush to California: GO SCREW YOURSELVES! LOL up the wazoo!!!

actually, the report just came out at 2 pm PST and it only includes 257.7 Personnel Year reductions (1 personnel year = 1 employee or position)...and most of those are of already vacant positions.. The key indicator is that the CA Dept of Corrections....i.e. CCPOA...only is losing 3.1 personnel years and only taking a 9 million dollar cut. Their contract looks very secure going forward. Lots of smoke and mirrors and hoping the federal government pays the tab going on out here in CA!

Maria Contreras-Sweet of the Business,Transportation,Housing sec'y, has been popping in on this conference repeatedly stating that the Federal govt must help. What a witch.

Bush to California: DROP DEAD!
Condolences for the millions of us who voted for President Bush in 2000 and for Bill Simon in 2002. We tried.
To: NormsRevenge
Be right back with more information on specific proposed cuts.

Once again, I fail to see why the SacBee is criticizing these people now, when they were urging the voters to re-elect them just a few weeks ago. They are as much to blame as anybody.

They are as much to blame as anybody. The only reason the Sac Bee is making a big deal out of this is because of the two REPUBLICANS. That's why. The Sac Bee are "useful idiots" for the democraps. I still think this is funny, though. I like Brulte a lot but I'm mad at Cox cuz he didn't give any support to Dean Gardner who lost the Assembly Dist. 30 race by about 200 votes (the democrap spent almost TWO MILLION DOLLARS and committed voter fraud to boot) while Gardner spent just over $200,000. Then to add insult to injury, Cox and the Republicans aren't interested in helping Dean Gardner investigate the voter fraud. In other words, Dave Cox' head should roll. The GOP could have EASILY picked up this seat. But OH, NO!!! Don't even get me started!!!

What about that new foreign language requirement for all high school students? Ha, ha, ha, what a joke. Will one of the foreign languages be English? What about that high school in LAUSD ($160 million down the toilet and nothing to show for it but a site that is so dangerous that nothing that has to do with human beings can be built there? A site that that Romer wanted the legislature to ensure that no student could sue if they became ill) that was built on an earthquake fault? What about the buyout for Roy Romer who probably will lose his cushy job over the whole thing but walk away with millions?

It would be cheaper to pay to send the entire Connecticut state legislature to Hawaii then to leave them in Hartford where they can legislate. Count your blessings

How come the (R)'s are identified by party, but the Dims only by title? Hmmmmmmmmmm............. They wanted everyone to know it wasn't just Democrats going to the islands to have fun in the sun!

Pure environmentalist BS!
Belmont high school was there for well over 60 years without damage or anyone getting sick, they even had oil wells on campus.
