Ex-President Clinton calls on Democrats to battle GOP (do I really need to say Barf Alert?)

NEW YORK -- Former President Bill Clinton called upon his Democratic Party Tuesday to stiffen its spine and take on the Republican Party and what he called its right-wing personal "destruction machine."

In a speech before the Democratic Leadership Council, Clinton portrayed President Bush's economic policies as wrong-headed and out of step with the nation. But he said the Democratic Party needs to sharpen its teeth, particularly when it comes to defending leaders such as Senate Democratic Leader Tom Daschle of South Dakota, whom Republicans had accused of being soft on terrorism. "They have a destruction machine -- we don't," Clinton told his audience at New York University. "What was done to Tom Daschle was unconscionable," he said. "But our refusal to stand up and defend him was worse."

Yep, facts sure can be destructive to liberal candidates, Bill. I'm sure you agree with Krugman - the media LET the right-wingers get their facts views out, and that's what did you guys in.

My first impression of Clinton in 1992 was that he would ruin the country.

Although he and his witch did their best, they were not successful!

One thing is certain........whatever he touches declines.

I could not be happier now that he has regained the "moral" high ground for the Democrat Party.

It's continued decline and hopeful demise will be speeded up !!

The man who let various terrorist incidents slide with little or no reaction is not qualified to discuss whether or not Al Qaida or Iraq is the greater threat.

"They have a destruction machine -- we don't,"

Gag me with a spoon!. Newt, John Tower, the list is long. Even longer is the list of people engaged in that destructiveness on behalf of the Dem's, including as it does most of the major media, especially the broadcast "news" media, but also including the editors of the major news services, and many major newspapers. Their editorial policy is constantly spilling over into the "news" articles and clips.

Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., suggested that the Democrats had erred by straying from Clinton's political path.

Ah, yes, the Clinton Path of Least Resistance (CPLR). Push whatever policies that focus groups say are popular.

One word: PROJECTION. What he should have added is "We don't (anymore since leaving the White House". F'in idiot.

The former president's speech was a wide-ranging analysis of the his party's showing in last month's elections, which saw the Democrats lose their majority in the Senate to the Republicans and fall deeper into the minority in the House. He credited the GOP for having "message, money and turnout."

Okay we had message, money and turnout but he forgot to say what we didn't have--a sleazy ex-president slithering around on the campaign trail. When I see Clinton I always think of a man who would have dressed up as a woman on the Titanic. He can look in the mirror and at his wife's face to see two major problems of the Democrat party.

The only tactics that the Demoncrat machine has mastered is to threaten that someone else will steal your social security, push your grandma over a cliff, or attend your funeral and turn it into a re-run of National Lampoon's Animal House. The black population is beginning to have an epiphony, realizing they have been used for the last fourty years. Hispanics are smart enough and hard working enough(with strong family values) that they make up their own minds, and usually do so over economics(isn't that why they are here in the first place?) I have worked with Mexican immigrants who work two jobs, and will leave one for another in order to get a few more hours per week or another quater an hour increase. Taxes really piss them off.

The next decade will be a very tough time to be a rat. BTW, What is it that Republicans did to Daschle that was not self inflicted? Was it those evil republicans that embarassed Carville so bad that he had to climb in tha garbage can? (As much as I hate James, you've gotta love his style!) I really smell the Clintons trying to work up some domestic violence that will get constant press coverage.

I suspect they will be getting organized labor to start some riots. This will divert Bush's resources in an effort to explain his economic and domestic self. That is not Bush's forte'. The rats will conduct one of those "thousands of little wounds" campaign on Bush since they know he is too popular for a frontal assault.

Why is it that liberals insist on finding amorphous enemies right here, while ignoring the really dangerous enemies to our country?
