I had to laugh when I found this list from Listmania! that I found this morning on Amazon.com which was seriously titled "Great Gifts for Democrats" see:

Not a completely bad book, per se. The basic argument -- that our educational system is too much about making kids repositories of knowledge----is done in a typically Marxist tone and thus reeks of propaganda , but he makes some good points. I found it in my office a couple of years ago. Not sure how it got there
The Author's name is actually "Freire", by the way

Listmania lists the same books except the first- on the "Great Gifts for Republicans" list . They have #1 as "My American Journey" by Colin Powell. But as Ann Coulter so succinctly stated: "Conservatives read books. Conservative books sell.

Which must account for the current standing of "Joined at the Heart" vs. "Slander" on the bestseller list- the one list that counts.

Leftist don't read books they do like mind altering drugs /booze so my idea of a gift is a double handful of sleeping pills & a Jack Daniels chaser .
