In an upcoming TV movie on CBS to be aired this Sunday, Rob Lowe plays an attorney who learns the real meaning of Christmas. He also represents a group of farmers who need protection from the "environmental junta" who wants to take their water rights away over the sucker fish.

It is extremely RARE for a pro-rural point of view (no matter how small) to make it to the networks ... and I ought to know, because I wrote the script for the movie.

We need to get as many people as possible not only to watch but to WRITE CBS in support of the movie.

I received this twice by email today. Once from the individual who wrote the script fo the movie, and once from People for the USA.

I hope it presents the story accurately and from the farmer's perspective ... you know, the ones who had the deeded rights to that water.

I'll be watching and hope many other do too.

Great, hope it does a good job as the script writer implies. We'll see. Lord knows more people need to be aware of what happened there and how it was turned around.

But I should caution you. If CBS is doing it, beware.

I hope the new wind is one that blows away all of the environazi/envirofascist activites and restores land and atere rights to their proper place ... where they are respectred and held inviolate under constitutinal law.

Idaho and Utah are (generally) doing all right at the state level, but there are a lot of federal activities that are still disconcerting. Central and Western Oregon and Washington are being killed by the Enviros along the coasts. Those areas would be better served (IMHO) by being a part of Idaho and Nevada.

I know. I am going into this with a good deal of scepticism ... but the author wrote me and indicated that the rural landowner viepoint was well represented. We shall see.

Ping worthy? CBS is downright schizophrenic these days. The same station that promotes"Rather Biased" is running a story Pro Klamath property owners? Think about it. They have "Touched by an Angel"
on the one hand
and "Victoria's Secret" lingerie show on the other. What demographic are they trying to appeal to?
