[history]
An Arizona man who received a "strange and mysterious" e-mail apologizing for the slaying of a Red Bluff cop launched investigators on the trail of an ex-Army private who was arrested four days later in New Hampshire.
Neil Wright, 50, said he had received an e-mail from "Mitch Stephens" at americanresistance@yahoo.com at about 6 p.m. Friday on his home computer in Lake Havasu City and called police an hour later.

Neil, thanks for being a citizen!
Misty, thanks for the ping!
In the Army, he was a private stationed at Fort Campbell, Ky. until his discharge in 2001. That fall, McCrae enrolled in college at Evergreen State College in Olympia, Wash.
Evergreen State is as radical a college as exists in these United states. A couple of years ago, I was looking up an old prof of mine from New York who'd headed out there. The official, Evergreen web site refers to the American Southwest as "Occupied Mexico." I have no doubt that many Evergreeners consider this McCrae murderer a hero.

Yeah, and I'm sure they love to grouse about "censorship." I know they like to talk about "freedom." Guess it's a real special kind of freedom, that most folks can't grasp.

Way to go Neil! I hope you understand that YOU will also
be a target of their investigations from now on,though.
Not that you have done anything or were connected to this insanity in any way, that's just the way it is.
To: Neil E. Wright
Bump for diligence and outstanding work. Condolences to the Officer's family and friends.

Thank you for your hard work and heads-up alert on the e-trail leading to the cop killer.
These leftwing terrorists MUST be "outed"; what better (ironic) place than the ultraliberal SF Chronicle!
To: MistyCA; Neil E. Wright
Howdy, Misty!
Way to go, Niel!
HAPPY THANKSGIVING to you both!

That fall, McCrae enrolled in college at Evergreen State College in Olympia, Wash. He was arrested there in April for obstructing a sidewalk, apparently at a political protest, police said. Well, that doesn't surprise me. Evergreen is Commie Central, awash in 60s rhetoric (actually, unwashed, like the good little hippies they are).
To: jdontom; Neil E. Wright
Wow! Great job Neil!
